Why Everest Isn't Earth-s Highest Mountain. sorta No. Everest touch the sky higher the eny other mountians and islands. Becos on Everst is the most high place that man can stand on land in atmosphere. It mean there is much colder becose the hight and hard to breath becose the hight. So that is what mater for us when we talk about hight, we talking about hight in the sky. Haw ever, i can agre that is not the tolest mountian structure on earth if we uncover that island from the water but with all the Himalis is still the bigest mountian structure on Earth as mass, no mater what you will uncover from the water i thing. And if the ecuator goes on Everes the resolt will be biger then this on that Mountian in South America. So i thing Everest is still the king, You have to be above the water to be mountian and toching the clouds to be high. That the definitions that maters.
And new Zeland is practicly continent but we cant give it that titlle becose most of it is under the water. So it need to be above the water to have the titlle or is something else then. That island cant be full mountian, is just a island and can win only the tolest island category.

Everest is a 15, 000 foot high pile of granite that is sitting on top of a 14, 000 foot high plain, yet is somehow 29, 000 ft tall/high/etc. Likewise, I suppose I could put a penny on top of a telephone pole and claim that the penny is 40 foot high while conveniently obfuscating the fact that there is a 40 ft tall telephone pole holding it up! lol
Everest is a HUGE benefactor of wobbly definitions and abstract points of reference. Only the top half of Everest is real, the bottom half is just a pile of scientific gymnastics. Funny thing, when you 'summit' Everest you only climbed up 15, 000 ft. lol
Now Go stand next to Mt. Denali, its an 18, 000 ft high pile of granite which doesn't need to be artificially exalted via scientific apologetics. Its actually there! Finding the base of a mountain doesnt require a shovel.

Hold up.
How are you reducing the sea level for Mauna Kea and not doing the same for Mt Everest when measuring them both at the same time?
When measuring Everest normally you measure it from the sea level. But when reducing the sea level to the base of Mauna Kea and measuring from the new sea level you suddenly measure Everest from it's base instead of the sea level.

The Tallest Mountain In The Solar System Is Not Located On Earth. But Its Our Cold Neighbor Planet Mars And The Tallest Mountain Ever Is Olympus Mons
Tallest Mountain In The Solar System:
Olympus Mons
Tallest Mountain Above Sea Level:
Mount Everest
Tallest Mountain In Earth:
Mauna Kea

Heres how to ask
Is mount everest the highest mountain?
No its mount chimborazo
Is mount everest the tallest mountain?
No its mauna kea
Is mount everest the most prominent mountain?
No its mount denali
Is mount everest the tallest looking mountain?
Yes, yes it is

reply

This question gets murkier, or even clearer, when you realize the same logic means sea level isn't identical across the globe; so whats the -correct- measurement to use? Seems to me you've got to start at a benchmark that is consistent for any measurement. That means Chimborazo reigns.

Itz nice to knw how much w3 reallly been lied2-. & they st! ll rather accept the story-tellz-. Beautiful mountainz N Afr! ca! see, s0 Everest isn-t the highest mountain yallz, s0 re-wr! te yur bookz& reshockk yur bra! n wit factz
reply

You are conflating the words -Tallest- and -highest-.
Tallest is defined as the distance from the bottom of something to that things top.
Highest is determined by the distance from some set reference point.

reply

People who are watching this video please don't listen to this guy he's a lier and mount everest is the highest mountain in the world saying that mount Chimborazo is higher than mount everest well it's fake
reply

But everest is tallest mountain. but Hawaii is also. but underwater didn't count according to science. & South America mountain are small. u r saying so much. everest start from undersea level.
reply

When you-re comparing from sea level then obviously Everest is the highest point of earth. Standing on the tool or standing on the floor that comparison don-t matter and doesn-t suite at all!

-if you've made it this far watching then you probably love reallifelore then you've probably already heard. -
me: -oh I already know all about the toyota corolla-

reply

bro if that mountain wasnt blackened out in the thumbnail i couldve just reconized it, as everyone remembers what every mountain looks like from every angle.
reply

Everest is tallest, if you measure from the base, but mania kea is tallest from the base. I have a question: What is Mt. Everest-s height from base?
reply

Chimborazo isn-t the tallest, lol it does not matter by the equator, it just matters how tall it is because Everest is twice as tall as it in general.
reply

0: 19 -the first answer to -what is the tallest place on earth- you probably think of is Everest-
Me, even before watching this video: -mauna kea-

reply

Excuse me, to all you idiots commenting -Olympus Mons-, that mountain is on MARS, the thing we're talking about is the tallest on EARTH.
reply

actually Rheasilvia Central Peak is the tallest mountain is even taller than all the mountains but it can be only found in the planet vesta
reply

My Everest had to fight formidable gravity to rise to where it stands today. Unreal. But it-s like that rich guy everybody loves to hate.
reply

Strong dislike for this video. It-d be nice if you also used inches, feet, and miles when describing measurements.

This is video is like when your friend is wrong and when you point it out to him, he makes these types of arguments
