The Insane Complexity of the India/Bangladesh Border India China Bhutan Triangle Relation
but India can turn its disadvantages into advantages on its side by changing the game in opposite direction
The fairy tales about the existence of Dragon- is not only true here but this Dragon is becoming as a great threat for Indias internal security
Here we are talking about the Silliguri Corridor (the Chicken Neck of India and the Dragon Neck of China ( Chumbi Valley in Tibet) This is a 1 million dollar question which is more vulnerable a) the Chicken Neck of India (the Silliguri Corridor) or b) the Dragon Neck of China ( Chumbi Valley in Tibet) Both of them stands on a strategic important and very vulnerable location.
The Chicken Neck of India was discussed at great length in social media during Doklam standoff but there was a blurred picture talking about the vulnerabilities on Indian side but the vulnerablities on chinese side was never discussed. Now in this discussion we talk about the vulnerabilities of the Dragon Neck of China
Before going into any detail analysis We need to explain some facts on historical and background informations. China entered inside eastern Tibet in 1950 and captured whole Tibet in 1959. In 1962 China started a war with India at some border points.
a) a short Introduction of Silliguri Corridor/the Chicken Neck of India b) a short Introduction of Chumbi Valley/the Dragon Neck of China
Now Silliguri Corridor is only 22 KM small stretch of land joining eastern India with rest of India. China like to see it as Chicken Neck of India in case of war between India and China. Most social media platform reports and analysis shows only the vulnerability on Indian side like Doklam incident but dont show the vulnerabilities on chinese side.
If we study this map carefully than on the northern side of Siliguri Corridor lays the Chumbi Valley (Dromo in Tibetan) you can see a small patch of land streching deep inside Indian territory, on east of Sikkim, north of Silliguri and west of Bhutan.
This area used to be the main trade route between India and Tibet, the nearest and shortest route to Lhasa before 1962 and after India China war this trade route between Tibet India was sealed off by China.
We call this small patch of land as the Dragon Neck of China (Chumbi Valley) We came to this conclusion by studying the map carefully, looking every thing from a different angle and perspective. You have to imagine yourself standing on the northern upper most part of Chumbi Valley and looking at Siliguri Corridor and Doklam area from a birds perspective.
You will see the noose of Dragon direct at Doklam and whole Neck of Dragon streching deep inside Indian territory. On the west side there is Bhutan who is a protectorate of India which mean the Neck of Dragon is surrounded by India from three sides eastern, western and southern position. In case of hostilities between India and China, India can easily cutoff this Neck of Dragon.
Why India should to do it? This is one million dollar question again? a) China want to cutoff Chicken Neck of India and whole north east India from rest of India b) It provides China direct access to the sea port of Calcutta via occupied landlocked Tibet c) to expand its economic, military and global maritime supremacy in the world.
As end conclusion in the case of war between India and China? China will try to cutoff the Chicken Neck of Siliguri and India need to pay more attention on Chumbi Valley. Right now we are too much fix on Chicken Neck problem that we dont see Achilles heel of China
India has now the perfect opportunity to change the game in the opposite the direction for every action, there is a reaction opposite direction, said Newton- International relation is reciprocal, not way traffic system like in China
In short India need to pay full attention to the vulnerability of Chumbi Valley, the Achilles heel of China which is defined in this Analysis as Dragon Neck of China to talk about advantages and disadvantages on both sides.
lastly India gets perfect opportunity to allow free Tibet activities in Sikkim and Doklam area to sent a clear signal to Beijing -One Tibet Policy- can become International issue if China go on with all such provocations and incursions on Indian border areas.

-So my grandmother was born in British India in 1935, raised in East Pakistan from 1947 to 1971, and now resides in Bangladesh (1971 to present day. To be specific. She never even left her village. She was always in the same area; it was simply that the country changed hands so frequently. -
reply

Hey dude! Here is a correction - The Britishers didn't gave India independence our freedom fighters like Subhash Chandra Bose, bhagat Singh fought against the British Empire for several decades and kicked them out of our nation and gained independence.
reply

Interestingly, I am from Bangladesh and I came to understand these issues while they were being addressed in 2015. It would be wonderful if a video could be created to shed light on the water conflict between these two countries.

Back in the 80's my friend had his living room in Singapore and kitchen in a reserve that belonged to Malaysia. When the Singapore government ordered them to vacate the house for redevelopment they simply moved to the kitchen.
reply

Good Video but few correction needed.
05: 52 British didn't give independence, rather India gained independence from British rule by fighting.
07: 20 This map of modern India is wrong.

The Karabakh was not an enclave of Armenia. Even Armenia has never claimed that. It has always been recognized by all UN members as an Azerbaycan land invaded by the Armenian army.
reply

Honestly the British government should go to international court and take some fcking responsibility for the mess they left all around the world, especially in the middle east
reply

Put history correctly. This is nothing to do with the Kochbihar King and Mughols battle. Furthermore brish were banish from India by the freedom fighters.
