Why China is Shrinking VERY Fast
video description
In other words: An attack on Taiwan might be economic suicide, threatening unrest and even revolts. China has seen in 2022 that ambitious military plans of quick conquest can backfire and have the potential for catastrophic effects on the economy. Taiwan has made itself indispensible for Western and even Chinese electronics manufacturing, so pretty much EVERYONE is heavily incentivised to make a Chinese invasion of Taiwan fail through sanctions and military aid. Such an attack would likely lead to an economic desaster of epic proportions, with China smack dab in the middle of it.
I somewhat doubt theyll do it. But I advise everyone to be very wary concerning investments that are strongly influenced by the Chinese economy. Id say -and ones related to high-end electronics-, but thats kind of pointless. Thats everything.

I don't know how logical China's government is but population shouldn't be a main consideration when deciding a time frame to invade Taiwan. No matter what level of population decline China has it will always vastly outnumber Taiwan.
The most important factor is semiconductors, America and the rest of the west are guaranteed too defend Taiwan as long as they are dependent on Taiwans semiconductors. Two interesting and competing policies have happened that make this much more complicated for China. The restrictions on the importation of advanced semiconductors threatens China's ability to make technological advances effecting their economy and military. At the same time the American chips act will make America much less dependent on Taiwan so less likely to go to war for it.
The longer China waits the weaker they become but also the strength of the opposition they would face shrinks as well. Basically invade in the next few years and get your ass kicked or wait ten to fifteen years and probably nobody other than Taiwan cares.

Don't see the problem with that. As China's economy propers and settles into a highly developed nation, having too many people will hinder housing and financial security. Sure right now they need a high population so they can keep factories filled with low-wage workers but automation and robotics will help with that in the future not to mention the cost of building infrastructures and high-energy needs of a big population. Overall having less people, closer to a billion would be a win for future China.
Honestly I feel bad for India, the country is much smaller and the population much poorer. More people just means more inequality. How can a government quickly improve so many people's livelyhood, it will take decades.
More people on the planet is also just irresponsible considering all available resources, and we know that. How can we see this as a win when a country grows larger, over a certain threshold it can't work

I have no problem with one China however if the mainland wants it so badly, obviously it's not just to gain economic value of the land. Then the mainland should allow the islands government to take over 1 China. Thinking about it the current mainland government isn't even the government that ran them to the island and the current government has changed so much from its communist beginning that it's more like the island's current gov than it is communist. So it's as if mainland China said to the island, you're gov is better, we're going to mirror you. Well go the rest of the way and allow the islands government to run both.

The change of power balance could be even greater. Once the Trumpians die, a respectful relationship could be forged with Mexico. Canada's population is increasing too via professional immigration. A respectful integration of the economies of the USA, Canada and Mexico could generate a block like no other, even more so if the USA keeps it special relationship with Australia. The problem for the West is the between Trumpians racism, leftwingers radical gender politics imposition and France's exploitation against African nations the west is losing their relationship with Africa.

All predictions over any period longer than one year are completely wrong!
What guarantees that this planet still exists even in 5 years times?
The constantly warmongering and bellicose US may not exist at all after anoher 5 years as it gets involved in more and more wars and be completely annihilated by the coming great war! Very good news for the world and its peace living people!
India has the world's largest population and logically the most number of homeless, sick, uneducated, under educated, criminals, prisoners, poor, etc!

If it had not been for population control, there would probably be 1. 8 to 2 billion people in China now. The title of this video remains unchanged. The content of the video is population expansion has resulted in lack of natural resources, insufficient food supply, starvation of the people, uncontrolled industrial development, depletion of water resources and overcultivation. People can always make some conclusions based on what they know, but are you sure that these conclusions are correct?

The west might have -fixed- it's population problem with migrants, but this is causing instability in the west. I would rather have to deal with China's population problem then the west's population -solution-. I would rather have a declining population than use a loose immigration policy with barely any effort to assimilate these people. Also diluting the ethnicity of a place is a non-violent genocide. The rest of the world should look at the west and think -I'm not copying you-.

However it must be understood that continued population growth is not sustainable. It-s obvious that population stability and slight continued decrease to a sustainable population is the most desirable outcome. Otherwise conflict over resources such as energy, minerals, water and food will increase. Not sure what a natural sustainable population is, but 8+ billion is obviously a problem.

I believe the CCP will push for quicker advancements in AI and automation. They will be forced to automate more tasks and work that would normally be done by the prime working age group. It won't cover everything but it will be a last ditch effort to soften the blow. Whether or not this epic wave of automation will really help will have significant effects on the country and the world.

China doesn't actually need to replace its working population; or at least, they don't believe they do.
Increased automation should allow more productivity despite the lower population, and support the ageing population with fewer workers. This is the communist ideal. Whether it will work in practice is a whole other question.

So China will have a population crisis about the time the Middle East will begin to become nearly uninhabitable.
Sounds like an obvious way to solve both problems is for a huge Muslim exodus into China to occur-
Whether that-s politically feasible idk. Im not sure how people in China feel about Muslim immigrants.

They were at 2. 7? That sounds like they needed to tweek the numbers at the margins by either raising the age of marriage again or increasing the time between births. They went nuclear with the 1 child policy.
I'm not aware of the context, so any insight as to why they decided the way they did would be appreciated.

Seems poorly researched video, the entire world population is about to shrink outside about 8 countries and the declines are being updated over and over to be more and more rapid. Look into the Universe 25 studies and you will see the obvious parallels between us and the mice in those studies.

I'm positive that China will find a way to automate a sizable chunk of their manufacturing processes by 2050.
So I'm not so sure about this lack of military personnel because of population decline. Or atleast it won't be as bad as the Japanese had it, as there was AI at their time.

Bizarre take. Ignoring resource shortage and climate change. Likelihood is that China reduction in population will make it more effective to govern. It has no real expansionist imperial ideology unlike USA and European nations. Its only target is Taiwan which is a Chinese territory.

800 millions are still a lot! Probably, there will be fewer than 800 millions. There will be more epidemics, economic hard ships and more frequent and more powerful tropical storms every year; they will together likely destroy more Chinese people.

India's population growth is already almost at replacement levels. India's population growth in % is also pretty low and will get slower till it stabilizes and probably contracts. Dont say -accelerates- it'll give people the wrong idea.

A bit misleading - the communists didn-t fight much against the Japanese and the nationalists lost huge numbers. This is how they were able to win the civil war. The idea they fought hand in hand is CCP propaganda

Population is a fact of influence but it's not major factor when it cames to war conflicts.
If it was like that the 200+ million arabs around Israil would have their flags rised in Jerusalem long time ago.

There will definitely be an issue with the West's populations. If half of the US's 400M population has no loyalty or affection for the US, they will see far worse issues than population decline.

Chinas potential invasion of Taiwan in 2027-2031 likley also depends on who is elected US president. Bc invading while Trump is president is very different from invading when Biden is president.
