you have to also remember that many of the Pirates are actually fishermen whose livelihood has been destroyed due to overfishing and other countries not paying fees/tolls to our government to use our territorial waters it’s also important to know that we have the longest coastline in Africa starting from the border with Djibouti in the Bab Al Mandeb/Red Sea and all the way from to the East African coast/Indian ocean their are also other grievances such as contamination of our coastal waters by foreign countries dumping toxic waste and damaging our ecological environment which has caused a rise in medical conditions such as cancers and people giving birth to children with defects, this is the epitome of neocolonialism contaminating our water supply and food supply, resistance is imperative

What's happening from 2025 is that they are being sent back to their country, and their country's funding by means of fraud and scams have been cut off.
If the Somalis had tried to fix their country I wouldn't have as much of an issue with them. These commercial shipping companies flag their ships in countries that have little to no navy because it's cheap, rather than flag their ships in countries that have actual navies that can deter such attack or respond in the event of such attacks.
