At this very moment, people are lining up somewhere to scare themselves, be it with a thrill-ride or a horror movie. In fact, in October of 2015 alone, about 28 million people visited a haunted house in the US. But you might wonder: What could possibly be fun about being scared? Margee Kerr examines the biology and psychology behind what makes fear so fun. Lesson by Margee Kerr

Conclusion of video: Fear can only be enjoyed when you know you are safe.
The true reason is you wish to disprove yourself, your deeper self. You love teaching yourself a lesson.
Explanation:
Fear is for telling you, you are not safe. When you know you are safe. You love to contradict your previous personality, the one personality which says you are not safe. So you go to disprove him. By experiencing reality. When reality is safe, you enjoy because you have disproved your previous personality. When it comes out it's not. Your previous of deeper personality rebukes you.
May be you should listen to your deeper personality. May be that's a Angel.

To understand why most of time fear is fun. Understand what fun is, then what fear is. Fun is actually feeling when comes you contradict yourself seeing yourself as many. You love to experience fear because you have already made expectation of how fearful your experience would be. So to contradict your this expectation (which is cause of fun, you go to experience fear.
But fear is not fun when reality is as you have expected how fearful it would be.
