Much of the west coast of Australia was discovered by accident when Dutch treasure galleons ploughed into its fringing coral reefs and left chests of gold and silver on the coral floor. Ben Cropp has discovered hundreds of shipwrecks, including the famous Pandora of Bounty fame but there are thousands more still hidden in a watery grave. For example, its believed the Japanese pirate Yamada Nagamasa buried his enormous loot on Magnetic Island. It is rumored to be worth $100 million, and has never been found. Ben finds a strange symbol carved in a prominent rock on Magnetic Island, opposite the only bay a ship could safely anchor in. Is this symbol the proverbial x marking the spot? So what became of all the gold and silver that fate often cruelly snatched from its rightful owners? Some were recovered, some lost forever, but much still remains for the intrepid treasure hunter who is prepared to research the facts, sift through the legends, and give it a try. Ben's film will take us around Australia to where these sunken treasures lie

i have an idea. Why not do a documentary on how Democrat funded the research and then released the Corona Virus on the American People to topple the Democratically Elected Government and violently seize power. Do a story on the Genocide they caused in America and thoughout the world. Show the film of Fauci giving convoluted answers on whether he funded gain of function research at the Wuhan Lab in China to substantiate you case. Show all the suffering and misery created. Show all the fear and hysteria caused. It would be great and factual Documentary indeed.

Dunno why they didn't bring metal detectors, and if the government owns them I'd leave them where I found them and ask the government if they're willing to pay a finder's fee. I mean, if they're not even willing to help pay for the gas they shouldn't get the benefit of the ride, now should they?

damned treasure hunters destroying archaeology for money! did they record a single object? is there any stratigraphy noted? any pieces of ship gps tagged? any peer-reviewed papers? any sense of respect for the objects? no. may they never find anything else of historical significance.

Sam Bellamy.
A democratic and merciful pirate. He collected around $140 million in just a year. He was heading to his home on cape cod (possibly to his sweetheart) but a bad storm capsized Bellamy's ship. Nearly everyone died, including Bellamy.

Get your facts right!
The murder of William of Orange wasn't the cause of the 30 year war!
He was murdered in 1584 during the 80 year war with the spanish (1568-1648, 34 years before the 30 year war (1618-1648) even started!

amazing a bronze divers helmet these things are HEAVY they take two people to lift them to put them on a diver he just picks it up in one hand This has to be fake that had to be planted their and it must be some sort of stage prop.

Its Nice to see but, its a little bit overproduced. From the Old brass/ copper diving helmet they found without any oxidation, til the moment, 50: 00min. That 8 piece reaal looks fake to me. Even the sound they make.
reply

The Australian Government should treat this a treasure trove, like the British government. The finder would be given market value. That way it's more likely that treasure would be found and declared.

no law in the world has the right to impose the 75 year rule, if any it would be way more logic if its reversed into younger then 75 years, goes to show how criminal alot of laws are!
reply

OK, but there are a few historical errors e. g. the Brown Bess was not a rifle and the assassination of William of Orange (William the Silent) was not the cause of the 30 Years War.
reply

I bet the 75 year rule of putting it back would go out the window, especially if you told them you found a pile of gold.
The rest is so over rehearsed it's painful.

Dont bother watching. This guy does not tell anything about history, nature or whatever. Just a family video. I guess any other person would make topic much more enriching.

Im telling you now she was not sank, they did a running with the cargo to an unknown location just like the knight's templar. Youre wasting your time lads!
reply

41: 35. I showed the symbol to a renowned psychic and she assured me that a fabulous treasure is indeed buried here. Right. I hope that worked out for you.
reply

the helmet was probably from a failed expedition to extract treasure that may have been known by a party that obviously had to ditch the equpment
reply

One day they will stumble across the treasure ship but no gold will be in it. The crew mutinied, took the gold, sank the ship, and decamped.
reply

Those cave paintings were so fake LMAOOOO. And you want us to believe this guy found a random liquid in a bottle and drank it? LMAOOOO
reply

I have seen the half hull of the original Dutch ship Batavia at the Australian maritime museum shipwreck gallery in Fremantle Australia
