In the nature of Communism it is highly unlikely that the men carrying guns are also Commies. Sympathetic to some policies (land redistribution, national autonomy, etc) or fellow travellers perhaps but most I believe were freedom fighters who really needed better Generals; and men of that calibre aren't usually political. e. g. Giap wouldn't be out of place if he had a command in Europe during WW1.

RPG is essentially a reusable grenade launcher
Never heard of a disposable grenade launcher. And that's just fundamentally wrong. Rockets are different from cartridge launched grenades. And the RPG was designed to be disposable. Where do they find these idiots.

My buddies dad was a green beret during Vietnam he was a crazy sob we had to watch around him any sudden loud noises around him and he would lay you out flat and you could see that he was in days passed in his head it was quite scary sometimes
