Emily Davison: The Suffragette Killed By The King's Horse

FBTwitterReddit

video description

Rating: 4.0; Vote: 1
Emily Davison was a radical suffragette who tirelessly fought for women's right to vote up until her abrupt death in 1913. While attending the Derby, Davison unannounced walked out onto the field during a race and was immediately struck by King George's horse. The reasoning behind why she stepped out is still unclear, but many theories have emerged about what may have transpired.

Brent fralic the top comment is right. What a dramatic queen asshole. Runs in front of the horse. I put more value on the guy and the horse than this wacko. Women there's a reason you weren't given power back in the day. Its because you don't know how to wield it. Women are terrible leaders.

Society honestly owes everything to these women. I would have been in their ranks were I born in that time. Imagine being treated as property for generations, not being able to do anything of meaning without having to go to bed. The rage is understandable

Didnt happen in the time line Im originally from. They actually set up their protest banner along the railing and the royalty saw it all, the announcer actually condemned them which drew the attention of the royal family. This time line sucks.

Women nowadays have it so much easy thanks to Emily and these suffragettes who fight to claim womens rights and equality. Without these women, I cant imagine what would have happened to women in the modern days.

London is no longer Majority White British. I wonder what shed think about that? That London and indeed the UK is being semi democratically colonised.

If people of the past could see what kind of clown world were in, I dont think they wouldve supported any sort of social justice movement.
reply

What has voting ever changed.
It merely gives people the illusion of democracy.
Change isn't always for the better.

Jumps out in front of a race horse on a track to tie a scarf around its neck?
Yeah, seems quite logical and sane.

reply

Tried to starve herself, jumped out in front of a racehorse. seems she was just a suicidal nut job.
