LOL at all the garbage you said in this video. like what the heck are you actually trying to say here? Listen you said someone with a hammer with enough force could give someone wearing a helmet a concusion? WHAT IF THEY WERE NOT WEARING THE HELMET IN THE FIRST PLACE? WOULD THEY HAVE A HEAD? lol this video is littered with garbage and inaccuracies and I hope people can do there own common sense research. Armor typically weighed like 20-50lbs not 100's of lbs. Modern day soldiers carry more weight than they did in full plate armor. At least with 4 million subs you would think you would have the time to research your topic before spewing 90% nonsense. If you hit someone with plate armor hard enough to cave it in it could break their bones. well what the hell would it do to them if they didnt have it on? blow their lungs out of there body? stop acting like armor is bad and pointless becuase if it was no one literally would have worn it. Long bows were also not invented by the English. Learn some hostory.

Arrows piercing plate armour.
So called armour piercing arrow heads were made to pierce mail, arrows had almost not change of penetrating proper plate armour.
Not only were the armours shaped in ways that made blows and projectiles skid across it, but the shafts of arrows at the time were wooden. Wood absorbs a lot of energy. The arrows would bounce and/or shatter. MAYBE you could pierce some of the thiner plates, like around the joints, and sometimes arrows could skid off the plate and end up in the neck or eye-slits etc. But thats exactly why eye-slits were made so small and later breastplates had a flared V shape so arrows would skid away from your neck.
Also. Longbows are NOT the best bows at all.

Normally I enjoy your videos but you guys seriously dropped the ball hard on this one. You know why people wore armor back then? BECAUSE IT WORKED! I blame Hollywood for this ridiculousness the armor back then literally saved lives. Also the harness that they wore under plate armor distributed the weight to the point you can run just fine in it. Also the heat could easily be taken care of by wearing a tabard. This is like saying wearing a modern plate carrier or kevlar is more dangerous than wearing nothing. You should do yourselves a favor and delte the video this is straight up misinformation.

If your argument that being dead is less painful than living with injuries, then this video makes perfect sense.
Guys, if you take a hammer to your unprotected head, you won't feel a thing after it kills you. If you wear a helm, you could end up with brain damage because you'll survive with an injury.
In which case, if you're afraid of suffering injuries and permanent biological disorders brought upon by warfare, then maybe don't enlist. Just a thought.
People who enlist in the military who are afraid of injuries and/or death are probably not the best suited to it.

This was one of the most misinformed videos Ive ever seen. It feels like someone described to you the idea of suits of armor through a game of telephone and you made a video on it filling in details where you saw fit. So many different errors and mistakes in this, even ones someone with the most basic knowledge of medieval warfare (myself) could point out.
