What It Was Like to Be Held In a Soviet Gulag

What are Soviet Gulags? What happened in Gulags? And what did they accomplish? The word Gulag is actually an acronym of its official bureaucratic name, Glavnoe Upravlenie Ispravitel'no-trudovykh LAGerei. When translated from Russian, it roughly means the Main Administration of Corrective Labor Camps. The gut-wrenching system of forced labor camps was first established following the Russian Civil War. By the 1950s, the Gulags would stretch across the entirety of the Soviet Union's territory. It was arguably one of the darkest periods of 20th-century history

Israel rose on crossings, bins, and barracks, just like in the Gulag, my father was in labor camps for five years in harsh conditions without water, food and electricity, they came to Israel in 1951 in tents, and the socialist movement took his sister after her mother gave birth, and stole her, her mother said they buried her near wood, denied them adequate conditions and closed them in missile fences, They came rich and took everything from them, the property, the money, the respect, and especially the smile, my grandmother worked for years cleaning until she got sick and went blind, her husband worked in soot and paved roads and asphalt until he got tuberculosis from the smell, they did not come there with an intention, they were forcibly taken into Israel on by the red socialists and did not know who they were and what they were at all and did not know them, This is a true story of my family that came to Israel in 1951 and this is what they experienced, read more about what happened when the state was established in Israel, what happened to the Jews, by the Reds, for no reason, without understanding, why how and what they are related to them, and why they had to suffer from foreigners including They don't know each other, and that's how the state of Israel was established.

Sephardic children arrived in the Gulag through the First World War following the old settlement before Zionism in Israel and the Communist ultra-Orthodox led them to the Gulag, they are the Yiddish-speaking ultra-communist Orthodox received permission to enter Israel and Jerusalem and pretended to be Sephardic to sit there because the Yiddish-speaking Ashkenazim were not allowed to enter and sit in Jerusalem, only the Sephardic, the Sephardic were accused for espionage for the benefit of America and ended up in the Gulag because of the Ashkenazim who snitched on them for joining and want be in the Zionism.

This is what the Republican party wants. If you get convicted and you will you go to a prison camp just like the Communist Gulag but here in the USA. You work until ether you die or let free like if that would happen. Because once you gat out they still keep an eye on you. If they see anything wrong your going back in.

I read Anne Applebaums excellent book on the subject. It really puts into perspective how spoiled we are in western society today. These prisoners barely ate 400 calories a day and showered with a bar of black evil smelling soap and 1 cup of hot water/1 cup cold.

China has the very same camps to this day only differences are if youre born there youll die there as a prisoner cant really feel sorry for a people that fought to make their country that way I can only feel sorry for the children born into those camps

Great job on the video, but the jokes were terribly grating. Would you crack jokes if this were a video on Dachau? Even if it's not at the prisoners expense, why does there need to be levity at all, to capture our attention?

The man at 5: 27 has an extreme tattoo on his neck for that time period. I bet he was feared by everyone. I have seen lots of tattoos from that time period and nobody had ink like that and especially on their neck.

Here's some unpleasant news for you, the US does the exact same thing in prisons all over the country. Our system of incarceration is legalized slavery and the conditions aren't much better than Soviet camps

I believe the Soviet gulags would be worse than the Nazi death camps. At least most inmates considered unfit for labour had quick deaths. Inmates of the gulags experienced a hell on earth.

My maths teacher was born and grew up in these until she was six, she has a book written about it too - never read it but I know that my grandma had one of those in her bookshelf.

Communist fools including in India communist parties are redundant and there is no bliss in socialism. Cull the communists in India and ban all forms of communist parties

reply

Yes my Grandmother's brother went for a working holiday to Siberia. He never came back. He was a Soviet citizen who dared question things - that's socialism for you.

10% of the population were in these things at any given time. The Soviets took totalitarianism to levels nobody has surpassed in a lot of ways.

I met a man in the USA, who was released from the Gulag. He didnt talk about it. He suffered from serious health issues and mental issues.

The Red Army is people who served in the Gulag, every person who was there in the army, was a commander in the Gulag and took part in it.
