Everything The US Government Has Planned For Surviving A Nuclear Attack

Though the threat of worldwide nuclear annihilation has lessened somewhat since the end of the Cold War, the US government's nuclear plans have gotten more sophisticated. Focus has altered from a large-scale exchange of thousands of missiles to small-scale incidents, and in response, arrangements have shifted more towards detection, prevention, and the aftermath. And yet, the legacy of the Cold War looms large, particularly in the wake of 9/11. From the old behemoth bunkers at Raven Rock and Cheyenne Mountain to sophisticated new missile tracking satellites, the United States government is committed to covering all the bases and remaining as secure as possible in the event of a crisis. This includes both preserving the president and senior leadership and informing the citizens how to prepare for a nuclear event. Jonathan: My Dad was doing construction under the Brooklyn bridge and they found an old 60s fallout shelter with gas masks (the others grabbed them as fast as they saw) cracker rations in big brass cans and barrels for storing water and also instructions on how to use it as a Latrine

I was raised around movie's, tv shows, and documentaries of a nuclear war.
The biggest thing I've learned. If a nuclear weapon is headed our way. Find out where and make sure you are around the 2 mile marker. The heatwave will hit you so fast you will not know what happened.

it is highly likely that the government will prioritize their own interests, such as taxes, salaries, and favorable conditions for the bureaucracy, especially for the security forces. Only after that, if there is any time left, will they consider the interests of taxpayers

If this ever happens if you are minorities you better hang around your kind armed and protect yourselves many far right extremist groups will definitely go after unprotected minorities. Like the Michigan militia or the Dominican and Cuban gangs in NY and FL

Kyle hill made a video about where to stand in the event of a nuclear blast if you are inside a structure and in the area where the pressure wave and not the blast wave would kill you normally. If you are in the blast area you are done for

Duck and cover was also shown to grade school kid's in the 70's.
Our school had a huge bomb shelter under the school.
When we had nuclear drills. Everyone in that school (grades K-12, would go down to this bunker.

The thought that Harris is one heartbeat away from being President, is not a comforting thought. Of course, knowing Sniffy Joe is our President & could win 4 more years are comforting thought either. MAGA 2024!

But look here, Doctor, wouldn't this nucleus of survivors be so grief stricken and anguished that they'd. well, envy the dead and not want to go on living? - President Merkin Muffley.

Let s face it if there s a nuclear war there will be no survivors. It will mean the end of man kind. It s common sense and these so called world leaders shouldn t even have nuclear weapons!

There's only one person on earth who will survive a nuclear war and that's The Incredible Hulk. Someone tell Hulk to join the Robot or he'll get eaten by bugs forever and ever.

They have estimated that if a nuclear war happens 50 % of the population will be dead and the rest of us will be looking at each other trying to figure out what to do.
reply

Be nice if the government spent more time looking into prevention rather than surviving a nuclear attack. Instead they keep poking The Hornet's Nest.

The response to catastrophic disaster is the same as it has always been.
The rich people hide in relative safety while the rest of us die.
