I think it would be kinda cool, you could have a tardigrade as a pet. I dont think they would be nearly as impossible to kill as you claim. Resistance to climate conditions like cold, heat and drought, is not the same thing as resistance to physical weapons. And while they're microscopic size it would simply be impossible to aim an attack on them, that changes when they get this size. According to TierZoo they also have low armor

if it was the size of a human it would die instantly, square-cube law, becoming that big it would need a heart system to get nutrients around and ect ect ect, it would lose all its abilties and whitout a skeleton it would just be a big mess. there is a reason no big animals have abilites like a tardigrade has, or that beetles can lift hundreds times its own weight, it all come down to size. square-cube law

Tardigrades aren't extremophiles. Extremophiles are usually a microorganism and they are things that evolve to survive in a unique habitat. Tardigrades can withstand basically any habitat. They are the only animal to have survived all 5 known mass extinctions. Tardigrades are totally different and on a completely different level compared to (extremophiles)

There is a human-sized species closely related to Tardigrades, very common in the US, especially in the South: Trumptards. Trumptards are as large as a standard human and are almost as intelligent as microscopic Tardigrades. They are, needless to say, almost immortal.

Why do we assume that WE could use THEM? Perhaps they would use humans to perform in batteries to do menial technological chores. Or spend sixty years chained to a table leg grating mountains of cheddar cheese for them to put on their grits

Nothing will happen, they would still be like any other big animal, we will still be on the top of food chain. Unless there are animal that have the brain and overall capabilities of human, then that would be something.

They are actually adorable if you draw eyes on them. Try it with your regular editing app on your phone by drawing two dots where their eyes must be on a picture of them. And you will see.

Could you selectively breed them bigger? I know they wouldn't get that big but surely you could breed a strain of them that are substantially bigger than anything that occurs naturally.

Size matters a lot, if they were the size of a human, their physiology would change drastically.
They most likely wouldn't keep a lot of their traits, but they would gain new ones.

Forget about the size of this thing, have we ever actually eaten this thing accidently while they were attached to our food? Since they can survive above boiling temperature.

Human with a gun: parry this you freaking causal

This is scientifically innacurate,
Tartigrades are NOT extremophiles. They survive in environments that are inhospitable, they do not live.

What if we could use tardigrades proteins that could be a boost from their protein to help humans resist radiation, and space vacuum hmmm.

Technically they are not extreme files. Because they can live anywhere including extreme environments.
