The only reason the rashidun caliphate was able to defeat the Sassanid empire was because of the prior war the empire was in with the Byzantine empire. Should the entire Middle East, other than Arabia and western Anatolia be under the parthians I dont think the Muslims would have been able to spread out of Arabia at all, due to the lack of a large scale war to drain the resources of the Parthian empire at the time of Muslim conquest.

the reason the Seleucids fell into decline after Antiochus III was the indemnity and limitations forced on them after the battle of Magnesia. without the interference from Rome, Antiochus IV Epiphanes would conquer Egypt, as he did occupy and nearly conquer it, only to be driven out by the Romans. Without the indemnity, the Seleucids miight have been able to conquer the Parthians but the same could be said in reverse

The carthaginians were the Germans of the Punic wars, they had better generals and better soldiers, and superior types of units, but in the end the romans could just keep chucking legions at the carthaginians until they eventually got bogged down to the point of not being able to advance.

Here's a thought:
In the Carthaginian timeline where Carthage won we'd have an alphabet more closely related to Hebrew and Phoenician since the Latin alphabet we use now would never have gained much popularity after the fall of Rome. Our writing system would have been altered.

Carthaginians were NOT Black, even though they knew many Blacks and dealt with them more or less in the same way as Lebanese do today in Africa: commercial relationships and very little else. At the darkest they were not very different from today's Arabs and Berbers in Tunisia.

I'm going to disagree with you on the slavery bit. One of the major theories behind the abolitionism Christianity correllation is that equality is a basic tenant of Christian philosophy. As equality (among men) was key to mithraism, slavery would be much harder to justify.

Because its wouldve went through Carthage in addition to the Parthians. Carthage not Parthia wouldve been whom Israel had been subject to in the time of Christ. Paul would go West into North Africa and Spain (then the rest of Europe) think Carthage as Rome.

You really don't seem to be a fan of the Butterfly Effect. It is ridiculous to me to imagine that same religions would arise despite these massive historical changes let alone be founded by the same people. Almost gave you a dislike based on that alone.

what about the mineral wealth of Africa which was well known. I personally think that they would have gone after mineral wealth of Africa developing west and east north Africa. plus the naval importance of Ethiopia/Somalia and south Arabia
