The US military already DOES allow robots to choose targets and fire. The Patriot missile, famously, has been responsible for accidentally shooting down a number of American and allied jets due to an error of judgement in the autonomous system. Of course the US has tried hard to keep this secret. But we know of at least three cases where the autonomous system shot down friendly planes. After that, they made the system only target the planes. And a human has to press the fire button. But it continues to mis-identify planes all the time. The C-Ram is also capable of 100% autonomous operation. It can track incoming objects and determine if they are friendly or not.

Whethed you love or hate Titanic and Avatar, you cannot deny the amount of effort and passion put into them. Cameron literally constructed a full scale model of the Titanic and created an entire world in Avatar using CGI with groundbreaking 3D effects. And they-re both some of the highest grossing movies ever made. And frankly, I-m sick of the hate those two movies get. 90% of everyone who hates them just seems to jump on the bandwagon.

I prefer the multiverse solution to the time travel paradox. During each incredibly small timeframe (the planck length of time) a new universe is born in the 5th or 6th (not quite sure which) dimension. So, travelling through time would mean travelling to a universe that only exists through the action you've taken.
Having written that, I wonder how much my hubris has influenced this answer.

thats an interesting idea. an optimistic sci fi movie. they say every story needs a conflict so thats probably why theres always some cataclysmic problem in a sci fi movie. wouldnt it be crazy if there was a sci fi movie where everything was perfect? no creepy undertones or anything weird at all? i wonder if it could even be done or would the temptation to create drama persist?

He's a genius because he looks at the human themes and metaphors behind science fiction stories. It's not just lasers and robots for fun. He goes beyond that and it shows on a subconscious level in the filmmaking craft (dialog, acting, editing etc)

Just to let you know i pressed like even before the video starts. And i am seen James cameron episode of Jimmy fallon where the talk about James deep diving solo into Deepest point in Sea. About 7 miles under water and James went alone in a Pod.

No matter how much of an impatient perfectionist (almost to the point of being annoying) Cameron is, he sure makes for a very interesting listen. You need to have a mind like this to make the kind of movies he has. Fascinating individual.
