Oh, my! I had to remind myself to breathe & not hyperventilate just watching. And the 23 seconds. wow. it sure seemed a LOT longer than that, like, two minutes. one, at least. Got me in my deep, instinctual fears, this one! Excellent and stressful and yet so simple. I think you (and the actress) have an understanding of real humanity and I was pulled right in! I would need fainting salts if you ever made a movie this intense! (But, please, don't let that stop you) Good luck in your endeavors! Peace: )
P. S. I love that your peeps are all over the comment section! I don't know any of you but can appreciate good work when I see it. All the love you're getting must mean you've got some nice folks around you, supporting your project(s. Yay!

This was super underwhelming. Even on headphones. It is what is NOT Sci-Fi, because even by todays standards no one would illuminate the whole helmet. Anyone who's ever worn a helmet will know it'll reflect badly and make sure you can't see anything outside. The holographs didn't make any sense. The lights on the suit didn't. The suit protection level didn't. The fogging and defogging on the visor didn't. Even the story doesn't make sense. Why potentially blow up everything and take others with you
This wasn't thought through, it felt like someone just experimenting with sounds and fx without a point other than producing visuals.

I shared this short with the following (your visuals were actually very good by the way):
Really well done. but, incredibly claustrophobic.
My impression is they didn't have much budget for visuals, so they put everything they had into the writing and the acting. And it paid off.
If you're in doubt about the ending, try reading the description. It will help you to trust that it is a happy ending. At least it did me

Wouldn't have minded learning a thing or two more about the location or timeline. Nice piece but, sheesh, where we at What was the nature of the operation Again, it was cool and all but the unanswered questions were irritating. For me. I dunno. Seeing footage of the retrieval out to the surface at least woulda been something that framed this in such a way that satisfied a bit more. Felt less like a short and more like a clip.

That was disappointing
It has me stuck wondering why this was created. Where's the story, what's the point Who is she Who are they and what were they doing in the first place They were on the surface of what This doesn't make sense unless it's meant to be the start of a series. Otherwise just another pointless video in the sea of the other videos. Sorry but that's how I feel watching this. I wasted my time.

The Actress who was in the suit Ana Isabel Castillo Betancur was amazing. Her breathing, her fear, and mostly. her despair was really played so well. As a prof film composer This was really done very well: )
The script was tight visuals and sound design were excellent. You created such a great atmosphere. I cant wait to see more from the director and the writing team.

I enjoyed the film. Great job capturing the panic of being in the situation. I felt it for sure. even caught myself holding my breath a couple times. I would've liked to see a minute or so of the hyperventilating cut to show the minute before just before falling into the goo, but then again I'm not a filmmaker and probly couldn't do as well as you did anyway
reply

I suffer with claustraphobia so this had me holding my breath, (not for the full14 minutes lol) great acting, different concept very enjoyable. It would have been a lot shorter if I was acting the part because I would have fired the thrusters as soon as I realized I was stuck dispite the warning. Well done.

If i understood well, the Artificial Intelligence helped her die in a good way, trying to relaxing her A sad ending. I wouldn't want ever be in her position and die deep in a hole. It's not a film for claustrophobics, although its very well made and the acting is good. My compliments to all the Team.

An Accident Suicide pact Given the obviously dangerous exploration of the alien ship - didn't her Dad ever talk though the risks and expected responses so she would not go over the edge when a death occurred You know like the one he should have had when her Mother died

Although that minute of total darkness was sort of unnerving, it added to the overall effect of despair and isolation. The woman's acting was worthy of an award as it was dramatically superb! The ending did leave a lot to the imagination. Wonderfully done!
reply

I think they got the DATA from her. and they knew from the start they couldn't get her out. Gonna lose her anyway. get the data, and release some chemical in the suit to make death easier. Chemical equals dads voice. But hey, corp got the data.
reply

I used to listen to binaural beats a lot, storyline hid itself from me, sound frequency manipulation was ineffective (no fault of the creator, I'm just desensitised) stuck in a faulty suit maybe With daddy issues I'm left to wonder.

Can some loan me a flashlight so I can watch this garbage perhaps I watched something else but a dark face in a confined shot is not the hype the loser's who find garbage amusement in this short pos I know shit when I see it
reply

She'd never make a Scuba Buddy let alone an Astronaut.
Sorry, a short relies on a strong underlying story and an Astronaut that panic breathes is like the woman that twists her ankle running away from.

Hi Everyone! I'm Pablo, the director of Stuck. Thank you so much for watching our short. We highly recommend that you use headphones. We are thrilled to share our pandemic project with you!
reply

Why are Space Helmets so often lighted from the Inside!
That would Blind the wearer!
In this travesty, the woman does not even have an outside beam so she can see her environs!

Not sure what is up with dust, I have friends who submitted much better projects than these but dust ignores them, then goes and shows these boring to death films. Come on guys get with it.

What the hell, she fell, where What type of facility Why does she call Ian,

I thought I was watching animation for about a good 8 minutes. Maybe longer. Did I want it to be animated Perhaps. So what was this Deconstructing futility and bodily death
reply

First thing they teach you in a high stress situation is to remain calm and don't panic and conserve oxygen.
Time to find another job I think

I can honestly say this was the least interesting of DUST movies I have seen. Very claustrophobic and static. Not bad but isn't my cup of tea.
reply

Just putting a robot voice in the film does NOT make it sci-fi. The whole story is about a girl gets stuck and has a haluciation Whoopdi doo.
reply

It made me so claustrophobic almost had to quit watching. Splendid torture, glad it was short, couldn’t have handled much more!
reply

I wish I could watch this with the volume up and not get dirty looks from others on the train. It's not what it sounds like!
reply

Such a great short, made me feel like I was trapped there too! And the acting was amazing. Props to everyone involved.
reply

Ok acting was good
Sound effects were good
But
What was that
M not that smart to get
Somebody help plz

reply

Magnificent, thank you! A metaphor of the times. We’re all stuck. I wish she had used her thrusters at the end.
reply

I didnt think the acting was all that great.
Suspenseful but the ending could have been done better.

reply

I hate these sorts of films where there's no resolutions or depicted outcome. But it was still very good.
reply

Suit voice very hard to understand. Only caught maybe one word in ten. Made the whole video a waste of time.
