An artist turns to his android muse for help when trying to sell his newest paintings, but events take a dark and disturbing turn when the android learns what has inspired the work. Muse by Azhur Saleem Connect with the Filmmakers: More About Muse: An artist welcomes in an art gallery owner to view his latest offerings, his in-house android at his beck and call. When the meeting turns sour and the guest tries to leave, Alderman calls on Kay and. So begins the next day. When police officers come knocking regarding an altercation outside, it transpires that Alderman has amended Kay's CPU to respond to un-programmed demands - including murder to which she complies and the police officers are disposed of. As Kay becomes self-aware she turns on her owner and creates a painting in his honour - a painting of pain. The muse becomes the puppet- master. Muse

Awesome film! I can honestly say that this is the first time I've seen a does AI have a soul type of story that changes it up and says can an AI develop a dark soul! Most people assume that in Sci-fi, AI are supposed to be evil but they're not. They are just being as logical as they are programmed to be, but an AI that learns to be evil from a murderer, her owner Pure Genius!

There is too much too unfold in this. But what I gleaned is the duality of humanity. And the nuance of AI in its compartmentalism, further more I find the duality of spirituality within his kiss to her. But in that kiss is the fundamentals of man checked by reality and reason are is is demise because he has no control of his desires or emotion.

Wow! I really enjoyed this short film! Quite often I am unimpressed with short films I see on YT, but this one had interesting characters and had me guessing right up until the end. I was left wanting to know more of the story and wanted to know more about Android Kay! Well done!

The only distracting part was the uneeded robotic sounds everytime the android girl moved. The show already established that she was mechanical. Knowing it was enough. Hearing it nonstop was too much.
Other than that it was excellent.

Reminds me of a episode of Night Gallery, where the painting was switched on the wall when the Nazi tried to escape into it. Well done and well written, a real script that good actors had to work with makes all the difference.

People really do not listen to much outside their own lives. One cannot really blame them, but the Artist went way to far in isolating himself and his Assistant and when he needed her most he became the Muse.

This is reminiscent of Black Mirror and Inside No. 9 but a short. And Aderman at the end looks like a scene straight from The Shining gives poignant new meaning to The Scream painting. Lol. Fantastic work.

Interesting concept that was beautifully made. Cinematography and design were top-notch. It needed a strong lead and Paul Ready is an accomplished talented actor who gave a convincing and watchable performance.

Nicely done, madame Muse is particularly perfect (and gorgeous beyond words. Sort of like La Machina meets Dorian Grey. .. The dust collection keeps getting better, this is just such an example.

Great Work. There is a few things Missing here.
1. Focus Pull Staff Name
2. Equipment List. Specifically. Camera Used. Red - Canon. etc.

That was incredible! Thank you so much for that short film. It was a high caliber concept that should be a full length movie!
reply

some short films fare so much better than full length films when its compact and straightforward in concept storytelling

Perfect 10 for this 12 and a half minute film! I am astounded as to how subtly the eerie paintings and the humanoid are linked

So instead of an exhibition in a year he killed the gallery owner who was interested in her, not the best career move
