So that man and his family didn't die in that ray; they were transported to a ship. I wonder how many centuries those high priests thought they were sacrificing people and they didn't know otherwise Perhaps the aliens who transported them up, knew that the sacrifices made in that evil society, were the good people; and that is why they would save them every time a ceremony happened.

This is a prologue. But we spent the whole length of it trying to figure out what we're being told.
Needs a little more back story worldbuilding, though. Without resorting to simple tropes, how did this even become possible
Still, at least it didn't end badly, and with collapsing scenery to boot (as so many Dust films seem wont to do)

Ok, somebody help me because I'm reading the comments and everyone is praising the people who made this short, well i can't do that cause i have no idea what i just saw, i could go on but what the heck, just go on to another one and hope it'll give some back story or something.

Yet another visually stimulating short that appears to have been written by a 3 year old. Even 30 seconds of exposition could've saved this mess. Viewers don't tune in to be confused and they sure as heck won't ever pay money to be left in the dark.

Lot of elements borrowed from similar films. Why 3 ships in beginning, then only two ships headed for the city Continuity CGI was good, execution needs work. I was half-expecting Lara Croft or Molly Ringwold to make their appearances.

You have to give a lot of leeway with sci fi but putting gunners on the nose of space ships outside the hull is really stretching it. One minute piece of space debris and the gunner is toast.

I have to admit, I am really impressed with the production value of all the DUST films but I hate the format where they all just end before the story is completed just leaving you hanging.

Cool special effects, but a story that can’t be understood without an external explanation is a bad story and a waste of time. I can see cool special effects all over the place.

That was brilliant! Very good. I'm not the quickest of cats at the best of times, but I think I got the message. Make it a movie. That's the best compliment I can think of.

If they cannot complete one story within 8 to 10 mins, then they should not make a 'Short Film'. To-be-continue style is a rubbish form for Shorts.
