Ten years in the making, Fabricated is a stop-motion journey through an alien world which was once our own. Fabricated by Brett Foxwell BUY IT HERE: More About Fabricated: After biological life has passed from existence, our machines try to restart it with the pieces we have left behind. On an anonymous assembly line, a creature is built from steel and bone and sent off. Making his way through an old world that is dying and a new world struggling to be born, he begins to sense that he may have a part to play in the evolution of his imperfect kind. This lm was animated by one person over ten years in four different cities

I keep seeing people posting about how god damn amazing this work is. And while yes, from a purely technical point of view it is, I also don't get it. Like, at all. Is the purpose here to simply be interesting to look at Kinda just seems like nonsense made for nonsenses sake. Which isn't necessarily bad, but it seems, purposeless.

I actually got my art teacher at my highschool to play this short film. Most of the others in my class didn't see the art part of it but got creeped out by it and of course after people didn't enjoy it. It got changed to the bee movie but the next year we got to watch the full thing

Me as mechanical engineer, this video is very much appreciated. Especially by knowing how detailed the assembly line with gears, shafts, creatures etc. etc are made. This give the story behind the making of, another dimension and level. CHAPEAU

At first I thought the lil dude died at the end. But after rewatching it, I think he just passed out, since I think the end shot is the beginning of his new, upgraded body

Well, metal do rust and decompose, while glass or ceramics can last much longer!
I think, the little dinosaur was rebuilt into something much better, glass!

This was one of the best stop motion movies I've ever seen. A lot of effort was put into this. I can see that just by watching the whole movie.

I wish I had 1% the talent, skill, dedication, and sheer brilliance of this artist. I'd be so happy.

Amazing concept. The animation is sensational. More of this please. A work of art had my curiosity bound from the first minute.

When they came up with the gears that changed everything. That's a science in itself and not that easy to wrap your head around.

As a student studying sound design, I LOVE the audio and effects for this. The voice of the machine man especially sounds great.

I just don't possess the vocabulary to describe how brilliant this was. I feel like whatever I say wouldn't do it justice.

I think he's in Florence--it looks like Gilberti's bronze doors on the Duomo that he walks past.

This is what you get when you have sharp, intelligent, creative designing minds on acid. BRAVO!
