Sadly beautiful. Eerily brilliant. Enchanting and captivating, I loved it!
The droid girl was the cutest thing ever, and all the cast did a great job. The movie was very expressive and heartfelt, his expression in the ending was so heartbreaking. I understand his moral conflict but still, how could he do this to make temporarily happy his abusive parent She was extraordinary.

Watching this in 2023 with the rise of AI, and most of the comments mention how the main character chose his father's hateful ideology over his friend. They're not wrong at all, but I think it's more concerning how the movie portrays the very real possibility humans begin to feel more drawn to making friends with AI than with each other.

This was wonderful. I can't believe how great some of the short films on here are. This one was more interesting and moving than 90% of the movies I've seen over the last 20 years! So beautifully shot too, and the music was great - it was so atmospheric, it really pulled me in. Her anguish at the end was heartbreaking.

I work in After Effects and seriously, that explosion effects needs work. like. it was too bright and cut out. Sort of made me roll my eyes. it was just too cheesy to make her ending like that. If you are going to re-release it, please take time with the effects

There are two types of programming. Manipulation of ones and zeroes and manipulation of emotions.
Also, the less evident point of this short is that there is no panacea culture/country. They all have the goods and bads.

Nice story telling, great acting and cinematography! 11: 37 that little betray was what tipped him over. In the end, it's not the AI, but humans with our fragile ego that is destined to bring destruction to ourselves.

All the talk about how AI is going to be harmful and even eventually destroy us, and a human destroys a droid as well as other humans. Regardless of how high tech we become, we continue to be the problem.

I wish he would have escaped from his father and lived with the masseuse. The robot was much more human than the father. He also killed innocent humans in the end. Such a sad story. It touched my heart.
