Interesting dystopian future. What sort of dystopian future would happen if the world population is going in the other direction. The population starts to shrink exponentially, in what we call an ageing population where the demographic breading age has become so small it would take decades to natural correct itself. That’s if it could at all due to financial strains on having more children and infertility on the rise because of unfavourable environmental factors. It’s impossible to maintain an empire without numbers of course. You know, what’s actually happening now globally that no one really knows is happening.

1. The parents are soldiers (a designer and engineer, their punishment is not going to go well for them.
2. The technology is geared for capturing the unregistered. resistance is futile. wind back to the capture of the boy.
3. The twin has been imprisoned in the apartment (mainly in that shielded room, she may actually be better off in the Labour camp.
4. The 'boy friend' is unusually calm and very willing to take a stranger on the run - this implies males are conditioned to accept whoever they are paired up with.

There are a lot of movies and series like this of allowing only one child per household. Why give the family heartache by allowing the 2nd children to be born, why not instead make the mother simply mandatory infertile after her firstborn Saves heartache. And change some of the genes to ensure twins cannot happen. But oh well this is just a movie. I think in real life this sort of thing may be more likely to happen, more realistic if they seek to keep the one-child only rule.

Here is a question I have. So the government PLANNED the society to keep everyone safe, so people would not have to live like they lived in the camps. Right Apparently, it is not safe in the camps. What if the people causing the harm in the camps are the same ones running the government and the reason they set up this PLANNED society is so they could keep the majority away in order to hurt the few

As the World's smartest man I have an abundance mindset instead of a scarcity mindset. I am familiar with the rats in a cage metaphor. We can feed the population of Earth several times over what it is today I am very confident. Being good stewards is important too. Turning our sewage into natural gas and fertilizer and being careful of contamination of our planet.

Where is the films creator They're usually in the comments.
This is one of few I've seen that I can honestly say has to be made into a full length movie! Not just because it's so well made and we all want more. But because the story obviously had to be cut short to fit into the allotted time, which usually has to do with budget.
Great film. Would love to see more.

Weird thing is what I see in the world and how people are most of the shorts represent the world of the future very good. Let us hope humans change one day but my hope is faint. We can't work together only in very desperate times and even then it's a hard fought way.

Im pretty sure this is a future where they run low on resources or the population is too high, good thing though eventually every country will go to stage 5 of the demographic transition model, and instead we will start wanting people to have more kids instead of less.

somebody fcked up the sound levels. The voices are almost impossible to hear, while the loud music is toooo loud. You woke up my neighbours and I was going to give you -1 but I still want to give you a chance and let you stay motivated to make new and improved films.

Film did a great job making the world feel lived in and futuristic. Sure that goes hand in hand with this short having a large budget, but the effects, locations, and especially the wardrobe made this very immersive!

A great and ironic love story. I also find it a sad social statement of what 'could be, ' which we are seeing happening increasingly more every day in various ways, 1 year after the release of this film. Scary.

At first I thought the girl was a bad actress, then I realized she wasn't the one into him. Which means she is a great actress because I could feel the pretend happiness.
