I was confused about the hull of the trawler. I thought that they stopped making commercial fishing boats out of wood back in the 1950s Modern commercial trawler hulls are made of fiberglass up to 100 tons, and steel beyond that. Most scenes show a typical steel hull, but for some reason for purposes of the movie, I guess they needed it to be made of wood When she gets on the boat in the beginning the sides are rusty metal, why would it go from metal all on top to wood down below Very strange. If there are any Irish fishermen out there with some input on this, I'd be happy to be corrected. Thanks!

A great little film which IMO put the rather overrated Underwater to shame! Less reliant on jump scares & screen shaking set pieces. This is as full blooded & fleshed out as they come with strong characterisation & an original take on the whole malevolent monster angle. The film's only real flaw (if it can be called such) would be that it's a tad predictable. Other than that however, this is a gripping Sci Fi Horror, grounded in a reality we can all relate to in today's pandemic hit climate. Beautifully under & above water photography throughout with powerful acting from all involved.

Crazy. Contagion (2011) and Virus are the most watched movie on Netflix and itunes this week. yet, studios are pulling anything relating to viruses out of fear. clearly people are not wanting to avoid this kind of content. Very sad i cant see this on the cinema screen.

I saw this trailer months ago. Just watched the movie tonight. For the entire thing I kept thinking I had seen it before except I knew I hadn't. After rewatching the trailer I realized it's because pretty much every plot point in the movie is in the trailer.

the idea is good. but the scientist is dumb. she rather die instead of seeking med attention. the MOT is through open cut and it is not super contagious like airborne.
