This is well animated, and the sound design is fantastic. I can't see an insectoid species having anywhere near the same reaction to a female mammal as a male mammal would though. There are things that are true about the dynamic between male and female in most species, but the cues and triggers for that behavior are vastly different.
Setting that aside though, I also liked the story. :-)

Here’s an idea for a prequel.
Why did they need the woman Was she a shapeshifter cockroach herself whom the men kept captive conditioning her release if she would help them If she were just a woman the story doesn’t make sense- the two men could have taken out the cockroaches as they had all the necessary tools.

Close up on the bugs, moving around the table during the bug conversation was really nice. Subtle facial expressions on the people too hinting at a certain revulsion or dislike. And the chopping, cracking squelching. Giving the blender a wack sold it for me.

Excellent animated feature with outstanding music and sound. Wonderful character creation and scenery. Certainly reminded me of resistance to the Nazi occupation, say in Czechoslovakia.
