Ok practical question here: as the daughter of a nurse, i know for a fact that long ago when she worked in a nursing home they had to move them around on a very regular basis to prevent bed sores, infections, physical ailments, and muscle atrophy in bed ridden patients.
So HOW is this miracle bed actually helping this baby with physical development and with basic stuff like diaper changes and learning to freaking walk! That baby would be covered in absolutely disgusting filth and covered in bed sores from a day laying around without moving!
They've also done studies, and without human, physical contact on a regular basis, babies also tend to die too.

Hi,
I’m ChuKim, a comic researcher from Vietnam. I’m going to hold a workshop about comic in early November this year in Hochiminh city. I’m planning for the participants to make comic scripts and storyboards based on films. I see this short film of yours is excellent and I’m sure that my students can learn a lot from it. So, I would like to ask for your copyright. This event will be organized for academic purpose. So, please consider and I’m looking forward to have your permission. It’s going to be a great honor.
Best Regards,
ChuKim

I don’t have any sympathy for here parents. They chose this stuff and now they have buyer’s remorse Sort of like parents today who give their kids phones they don’t need, don’t have rules when it comes to internet use, and then blame he internet for their kids not being well adjusted or are too concerned with being heir kids friend instead of being a parent. I noticed that dad came home early, mom stayed at work doing over time. Obviously work was more important instead of going home. The baby doesn’t notice the difference.

THIS is the very REASON that I worry about the A. I. connection and political values. If you can get the mindless MASSES to be concerned about the 'outcome' of TV shows like The Masked Singer, and Dancing with the Stars, what ELSE can they get you to BUY
A Presidential Election A One World Government - Your children's COMPLIANCE into it
You don't have to worry about reading to your children at night anymore. The SCHOOLS don't have to do it anymore. Just plug and play them. QUICK. EASY. PAINLESS.
TOTAL COMPLIANCE.

That's crfeepy. The baby is living in a virtual world where he is the center of attention always. How will he function in the real world Also, how is he being fed and diapered The virtual parents can't feed him and change his nappy! Really creepy! And then her boss doesn't use the technology because they wanted to go natural with theirs. Sounds like the same old for thee, but not for me rules the elite have for the average citizen today. Creepy, creepy, creepy!

So many wrong things with this future family other than the baby not spending time with their real parents (this issue already exists with nannies/maids, how is the baby supposed to develop physically in a virtual world Or how are the virtual parents supposed to protect a child like that kid walking alone on the street It's really funny that despite those very obvious flaws lots of people would use such a thing if it existed

I'm a dad and I TOTALLY want this technology. New born needs constant care and attention ALL the time. It's super exhausting. If this tech is available, I would use it when my wife and I are sleep deprived or something. It's better than day care as child in day care spends less time with their parents.
It's all about use in moderation like all techs. Don't blame the techs, blame the users.

Reading the comments, I find it interesting that a lot of people think this is a future scenario. Parent's have been giving their children to the state to raise for centuries now. Companies fund creches, and governments fund childcare programs. They dress it up as a benefit to the individual, but of course it's not. The benefits to corporations and the state are obvious.

This is such a silly, try-hard portrayal of something so simple that is blown out of proportion. You got the device, let it do its thing, why act like its a bigger deal than it is. Hell, I can easily name all the couples I know that would have loved some quiet and peaceful time while their children were infants (as shown by the way the device works, literally all positives here.

The capitalist machine tells women to work and have someone else raise your kids and being a stay home mother is less fulfilling. The longest I ever been out of work was 6 months during the housing burst of 2009. I was able to be a stay at home dad to my son and be immerse in his life because he was only 5 years old.

And in those 19 hours of update, who is feeding the kid, changing the diaper, etc Last I check, that's still something that would have to be done. Even during the 9 hours a day it was suppose to be in the crib for the first week.
Do the update, take it out, remove the thingy and call it a day.

The lady who played the mother (Marisa Brown) her looks kinda remind me of Elizabeth Olson from the Marvel movies. She plays Wanda the Scarlet Witch. And in mentioning that, it's funny how Marisa's name in this move is Wanda too. That's pretty ironic.

This movie is screaming at families to hold onto your children as long as you can because the powers that be do want for women to relinquish their motherly role and just go to work and don't worry, they will raise your child. Great movie.

I like that virtual parenting system, so the real parents have enough time to sleep, work and their own hobbies. My mother had aprreciated it if it had given this in 1970.

That was terrible. What is the matter with you people, showing this propaganda bull shit on a site that allows children You people are sick in the head!
reply

I’m only watching the short film for a couple minutes, but I realize this meaning corporate really doesn’t want you to love your children

The Black Mirror is strong with this one. Beautiful work. Would have definitely loved to see a logical conclusion though.

they're now in front of a computer screen, instead of talking to their parents, who were doing overtime at work.

This one was pretty uninspired and lanes. Well made, but the lesson here is what exactly Bad things are bad

If you think that giving a child a tablet or phone or whatever isn't the same exact thing, you are brainwashed.

Black mirror kind of shit. But this is the path to which the western liberal capitalist elite wanna lead us in to.

It brings me great joy that her name is Wanda. because THIS IS THE SAME FOOLISHNESS I EXPECT FROM MCU'S WANDA.

This is expertly put together. I just wish the dystopian corporatist trope wasn’t so pervasive.
