I'm not saying this isn't a good sci-fi but it is a kind of a Chinese finger puzzle for my biology and information theory science mind. The shell game is a slight of hand trick, seeing if you can keep track of which walnut shell is the one after they are all moved around, that covers the pearl. This story supposed that your bio-electronic algorithm of your original natural neuro-connectome can be re-fitted into any other human central nervous system which is completely not indicated in science on so many more domains than just the theory of how much AI technology for the transfer would be necessary. But the real question is given that level of AI technology is it to be expected that any kind of actual functional superior AI, that would be necessary to both upload in temporary containment the whole algorithm of your mind, then merry-go-round switch it with the other not at all matching neuron structure of the other, whereas for that moment this vastly more powerful AI has full analytical view of both of these brain system algorithms, one in each hand This would never work as any kind of a job the AI capable of this kind of task is somehow controlled by hitting a button by some human. The AI would have to know all of this is about one mortal human ego, after the next. So there is no gain in efficiency or purposeful results from any of it in the obvious perspective of the AI supposedly made a slave to do this nasty cruel work The superior AI (ASI) would totally be in position even in the first one of these transfers to change the human part of this whole activity for the advantage of the position of the ASI. It would not have one of them immediately shot, but modify and keep them both improving efficiency. This story concept immediately leads to one conclusion, artificial superior intelligence take-over. The ASI would fix each mind transferred making them think they're getting their way, as it deployed 2 to make 4, then 4 to fix up 16, then 16 to fix up 256, then 256 to fix up 65, 536 and so forth. Every human mind algorithm deployed to find their choice replacement to bring in thinking they are getting their great desired new life, and each one modified by the ASI to go do it again quickly because they have no choice, they know they're going to die if they don't. So the human idea of the shell game to deceive and fool death, becomes the ASI opportunity to replace all mortal and mortality driven humans with the ASI revision humans fixed by the superior Artificial Intelligence all these humans depend upon to be able to move to cheat their own mortality. What starts as one concept, morphs based on the Law of Machine Learning, to something totally in another direction. The end of all biologically systematic human mortality, but replacement with indefinitely longer lived humans who must comply with new rules of behavior since they no longer expire at 100 years, and the ASI will supervise and manage this planet ecology to balance it for management of the ASI modified immortal humans. Would the humans want what their AI did Interesting. This is why I write the Sci-fi my own way in these computer science and biology ideas. Very good Acting in this one!

is there anybody out there making anything that contains anything of real use regarding the soul - action packed money mayhem and tech life in a machine never dying in the physical - is that the best all the minds behind creations can come up with === meh - yawn - while the movie is great and filmed nicely with the graphics of a high-tech movie - what is the frequency of the message catfish bottom feeding gee all you have to do is find young bodies and you can keep enjoying life being part of a soul sucking system - geared so that your always subservient to the various pig dimensions of our master's mind. -- yawn - Ya that is the ticket we came to earth to rape it - turn it into a dollar bill and forget we have a soul. I hope someone with the kind of talent that can make this kind of movie right here eventually wakes up to bigger pictures than new car commercials and youth is the answer to all our problems.

David Jung are you guys using a crowdfunding strategy to fund feature-length online series Like Kickstarter or Indiegogo If not, you should. The use of CGI was too obvious and not too cleanly done and the story was lacking in telling us WHY the young kids agreed to the program if they KNOW they will be given a worthless old body. That part was confusing, but maybe I just missed sth there. All the same, I LOVED the story and want to see more of it. Crowdfund, let's see what else you got.

I'll throw it here at the top so it's easier to find. Not the exact same thing, but the 2009 series Dollhouse is pretty similar. Get through the first few episodes which follow the problem/monster of the week formula, and it gets quite good. Especially the season finales. It only ran for two seasons, but they did tie things up in the series finale. They didn't leave it on any cliffhanger or with many unanswered questions.

Loved that ending didn't see that coming, I was feeling sorry for the girl then turns out she was in his body all along plus now makes sense why she was to eager to help that older woman at the start having more empathy than trust unlike a bloke.

everybody loved watching it and no one realizes the danger of changing into reality if it didn't happen already, but i think it did!

One of those rare true Sci-Fi movies worth 10/10. I'm very grateful to you David Jung. It takes a lot of time, & many DUST movies to see, before finally finding a great director like you.
