So just what happens when ai takes over all skilled jobs like surgery and regular robots take over manual jobs? We are quickly seeing an end to humans working for a living. Unless stuff is given to us for free there really won't be enough jobs if any left for humans to earn a living eventually. This is more than steam powered factories and such. Horses stopped doing work when we made cars this is a situation where the same thingnwill happen. They've already started prototyping fast food cook robots. You can only strip the masses of things so much before you create a revolution of the poor killing the powerful

Supposedly -brilliant minds- so dull - witted that they cover their faces with masks that are either made from materials that have gaping holes for bacteria/viruses to pass through, or those which state on the box itself, that it doesn't stop coronaviruses. Further, developing a weapon like the Atlas - whether they know it will be used for militaristic purposes, or not, is completely idiotic.

Advancement was supposed to make our daily lives better, robots were supposed to work for us. Us as in all of us, but of course corrupt capitalism made sure it only worked for the elite few. I hate to say this, I hate it but we're going to need a livable basic universal income pretty soon. Boy oh boy that's going to be an ideological mess.

This is true, like Elon musk's reference to the ant hill. We just wanted to create and design computers, robots, drones, humanoids etc to help improve our lives. However in doing so in the midst of our exciting creations we have with poor oversight failed to realize that many of these creations are smarter than us

And help me know for sure. We blew it the United States once again and owning and building things. Didn't Boston robotics get bought by a Korean or Japanese company?
To speak more clearly still using the name Boston Dynamics, but it's leadership ruleship and ownership is no longer US based. Is that true?

The problem and at the same time the weak point of these robots is the energy. As long as there is no reasonable energy source where you no longer need to charge such a robot, these robots will not exist. The robot developers need a power source that can last for weeks or months without recharging.

USA Europe will be the first ones to use these robots resulting in massive job losses. We are soon goinv to see a reverse migration. Citizens of all countries should ask there respective Gov'ts to bring in laws that safeguards employment. or else we will soon see a worst kind of CAPATALISM.

Seems designers in Boston thinks they are the best designers. Nature. what about nature. they made bad design horses, dogs. they definetly have too much suspension. Imo they creatures legs movements is so pathetic. Why invent something new if suspension already is invented, just add engine to it

idk about robots taking over the world, but they sure took over my heart since a lil kid till now, i can't imagine having a girlfriend now days as all women are in to 666 material, really rather have an AI girl if there's a devorce than i can kick the factory reset at least.

Afghanistan isn't oil rich, it's was a strategic stronghold & is rich in lithium. a push to go all electric, after we unceremoniously pulled out, I wonder if it's because Biden Inc strip mined it all for batteries?

Pet an is already really advantaged. - I'm training with Atlas almost every day. I love the songs and dances. If you don't estimate your AI robot it will not learn. I will adore to charge my own one. ----

The scary ones are those that have been built to mimic humans. Boston Dynamics have taken a different path. Their products do not simulate the look but use animal skeletal structure to obtain a worker.

If we can harness organic power, self repairing robotics, and eventually self replicating robots, then we could literally take over the galaxy, if we get a launch mechanism aswell (and some way to slow down
reply

All the layoff in the tech sector, because of technology. Boston dynamics said they wont partner with companies the want to put guns on the robot, Military and police ate their biggest customers.
reply

The best thing about spot is how well it was made that when they did that dance video people all thought it was cgi but nope those were real robots that could move with such smooth motion.
reply

You know 90 mins of runtime for Spot sounds short, but honestly it seems really amazing it lasts that long considering how many electrical systems it's running constantly.
reply

Every human should l have a key fob that can turn them off when they decide they dont want to be drafted anymore. We'll give them voting rights before that happens
reply

Boston Dynamics will not partner with companies that use the robots to make weapons
(Robots get AI)
Boston Dynamics has no say in the matter

What's with the fake thumbnail? Listen mate. Stop with the bs! Atlas can dance, that's it. But it's very limited to it's programming and abilities!
reply

the progress would probably double in speed if boston dynamics and tesla would start to work together, thats also a scary thought, lol.
reply

Could you even imagine how complicated of cpu would be needed if a robot went from gravity to space! That would really be something.
reply

How much energy do these robots eat? Are they powered with battery packs? Looks still not very useful for practical applications.
reply

this is both fascinating and scary. never saw a robot do parcour, unbelievable how fast the development is advancing
reply

Nobody ever thinks of us using this stuff in space lol bet they will be happy they have it when they leave this place
reply

I Really don-t like What This company does as one day these robots will threaten our essential liberties - for sure
reply

Great rundown on another brainwashed company. Wearing masks at work tells me everything about their real intentions -

8: 13 this thing looks like a super battle droid all it needs is a grenade launcher or two blasters on the hands
reply

And where is the robot from the 2023 preview image? In your ass? Clickbait must be paid for with swear words. --

Anyone watch fringe? Massive dynamics. This runs a close comparison to the evil made up in a tv program. ---
