My 2 daughters only ever play Animal Crossing. My wife normally plays either Tetris or Pacman. They're basic b-tches (sorry, babe, but it's true) when it comes to gaming. I play everything: God of War, The Last of Us, Call of Duty, Elder Scrolls, Xcom, Stardew Valley, Doom, Need for Speed, Halo, Deus Ex, and hundreds of other game franchises on like 25 different consoles both portable and stationary. I have a recently renovated basement filled with gaming stuff. My basement has 5 TVs and a projector capable of displaying a 300- picture on the back wall putting any IMAX screen to shame. To top it all off, there's my 6 reclining swivel theater chairs. This room all cost me roughly $4,000 total, give or take a couple hundred bucks. I was frugal and patient while I waited for everything I'd need went on sale or I could find something extra at a good price. After about 8 years, I'd finally gathered it all together and, after a quick trip to Home Depot, I got to work on my basement man cave. I tripled the value of my house with this basement.

I-m the gamer parent of a 6 month old, and I own every major Nintendo console (except the Wii-U, just because, y-know) I thought about -generation progression- for a while, but honestly I feel like starting my boy off with the N64/GameCube era might be better for 2 reasons. 1: the games are mostly a lot easier to pickup for first timers. And 2: the controllers are pretty much the most durable controllers period, more so the N64.

I have 2 boys ages 8 and 11. I have no problem helping them through difficult sections whether with advice or playing through myself. Only after they have tried multiple times themselves though. I tell them that's part of why people play. It's feels great to accomplish something you come across that's challenging.

My dad constantly does number 7 he always tells me to clear the room, and all sorts of things. At the same time, I play Skyrim and civ 6 with both my parents. it-s pretty fun, but my dads really micromanage-y also, I got an xbox one because my dad wanted fallout 4, so its totally got its perks

This video is pointless! When you become a parent your old life ends. You have to spend a huge amount of time on your child if not all! Clothing, bathing , feeding and talking (Brain development)! Instead of him staring at the screen, teach him how the world works.

My mom was great with it all! She's by no means a gamer, but she trusted me to manage my time well and just kept an eye on what games I was playing. As long as I proved myself trustworthy in any aspect of life, it contributed to her trust in me in that sense.

I relate to all of these despite not having kids. I have a little brother, 10 years of difference and he knows the lore of many games he hasn't played because of moi
