10 HARDEST Missions in Recent Games That Took TONS of Tries Ori: Horizon Forbidden West on VERY hard? You ain t seen nothing yet. The TRUE challenge is finishing on ULTRA hard, which is a requirement for one of the bonus trophies. Not only are the enemies much tougher and more resilient, but you also can t see their health bars.
That made Spectre-Prime Tilda much more challenging than any other fight in the main story and most (if not all) of the side quests, but also even more satisfying to beat.

I guess I'm just lucky twice.
Not gonna lie, on my 2nd playthrough, I was really worried about the pinball phasing through the paddles, but that never happened. I did drop the ball, I don't remember if it was between the paddles, or behind 1, but I was close enough in score, that it didn't matter much.
I do plan on doing a 3rd playthrough, just to complete the skill tree, minus that auto combo skill, because in my opinion, that really ruins combat. And I'd like a complete save without that skill. So, I'll see if I can be lucky thrice.
I will admit, due to the physics of the pinball level, it is an eye roll level for me.

So how far back are we allowing? Because I would like to stipulate that the final mission for X-COM 2: War of the Chosen is an unrelenting MF of a challenge even on easy mode, nevermind on Hard and/or Iron Man (autosave only) like you can literally do everything right only to have RNG flip the bird at you.
And yes F The Arena in Forbidden West. It was the only time in my playthrough that I turned the difficulty down because it just straight up isn't fair even on normal.
They're not all horrible, but the bad ones are just so unbalanced it's not worth the aggravation.

I really want to try Sifu, and it pisses me off that this particular doesn't have a timed demo to download. I mean, it looks like a PERFECT game that could benefit from a demo. Yea, it's not a heavily priced game, but still. What IF the difficulty is too much? At least you could know first hand, and if you like the challenge then BAM. buy it!
Come on Sony/devs. Get your shit together and start offering more demos of popular games.

I wouldn't say hard, but very frustrating, was in Days Gone(Steam) when following the Hord with Mike to the tunnel at one point crouching in the bushes, I had to restart at least 6 times cause any movement would attract their attention and it was driving me nuts! Not sure if it was just me, but no matter where I crouched, even right next to Mike as soon as he started going up hill and I tried to follow, I was spotted.

Should ve done the mission from
GOW 2018 where you first encounter large draugers after falling thru the bridge and finding frozen draugers. On lower difficulties it s not too bad but on GMGOW difficulty it s insanely hard and it took me too many tries. You get 1-2 hits before you die, have like no skills unlocked at that point and it s before you get any upgrades/armor. It was a major roadblock for a lot of people

To me a game is a careful balance of being challenging AND having fun. Too many times I have found developers focusing only on difficulty and forgetting about the game actually having fun. This being said there are certain games I will never touch (literally anything by From Software) because I know for a fact the ratio of frustration to fun would just be overwhelming.

I think, Games in general are just wayyyyy to easy these days, autosave every 5 secs, checkpoints and hints everywhere, missing the good old manual save days, and the real challanges in Game like the old Resident Evil Games where you had save and plan your resources else u never where able to beat the Game, miss the good old these where Games where realy Challanging

The real problem with Recon by Fire in MW2 is the awkward checkpoint glitch. I had to basically re-run the last part (when you storm the group of buildings by the lighthouse after the sniping section there) like 30 times -- I had to finish this on veteran from the very beginning of that section. And you get like 15 heavily armored guys all of who one-shot you on Veteran.

I never really had any issues with requiem but on innocence that final chapter where you are approaching the big chapel and you get rushed by those enemies is super frustrating because you die in one hit. Also that bit with the cart too where Rodrick is pushing it while the spears are getting thrown at you is so frustrating I definitely rage quit a few times on that bit

I'm the type of masochistic gamer that believes hard is the only way to play any game, forces you to use your head and all the mechanics available. Although there are difficulties even I fear, such as Doom Eternals Ultra Nightmare and the new Dead Space Impossible mode. Got to make sure I have a few days off work to even attempt that second one.

Imagine finishing that mission in COD MWII on veteran and in the last fuc ing cut scene you get killed. If you remember after clearing three houses you go near a washing machine and you pull it one side and in that moment I got killed. Even I didn't know that could happen. After it I immediately changed the difficulty to recruit: /

This one shouldn't be on the list obviously since not only wasn't it anything you had to do at all, but I chose to try and stick it out early.
Surviving Caelid region in Elden Ring when you're early game. Pretty easy to stumble into this hellscape early on, but boy, you aren't meant to be there! lol

The Dying Light 2 Mission that you're talkin about took me two times and that's because earlier in the game I decided to climb it and explore it without realizing I was going to come back to it to do a main mission later on so I kind of knew what to do and early on it wasn't really that hard either
reply

I dont know what game did you play but I had like more then a minute left to plant the bombs in dying light 2. it might have been harder if you ignore every side stuff and just push the main story like a pepega, btw no you dont need to use that windmill to climb up.
