20 Most Disappointing Games of the last 20 YEARS Artem: For me it was KOTOR2.
Magnificent game. Replayed 5 or 6 times. But still, combine overestimation after a KOTOR with what felt like a quarter of game was cut (and cut not with a scalpel, but with a dull rusty saw. It hurts. All the dropped side stories, rushed and anticlimactic oracle review of fates of beloved companions
I even return to SWTOR from time to time, just to seek for that lacking feeling of story katarsis.

Honorable Mentions
Haze- advertised as the Halo Killer but it was just a confusing pile of meh
Destiny 1. 0 - built up as the next step in looters shooters and while it's gotten a dramatic rework and has a dedicated fan base, the initial release was incredibly empty
RAGE 2 - A long awaited sequel to a fun game that had similar vibes to the first Borderlands didn't do much to improve anything

What is even more frustrating about METAL GEAR SURVIVE is that Konami prevented Kojima from finishing MGS 5 due to costs, then they waste money and resources making Survive.
They might as well have left Kojima to finish his masterpiece and in the end their meddling left us with an incomplete game that could have been near perfection if left alone, along with a turd that should never have been made.

For me, specificaly for me, it was dying light 2. I wasnt watching too many trailers or spoilers, but def when it launched, it looked like they cut so many things from it, ctrl c ctrl v rooftops. And a boring exploration/progression. Oh man and the main plot line. I still played it from start to finish, but it was hell for me when I noticed it wasnt as nearly as good as the first game.

For me it would have to be Arkham Knight. So many elements such as the huge Batmobile that you had to use in stealth missions made no sense not to mention the Riddler races which were next to impossible. I even decided to get a PS4 to play it because of the disastrous PC launch and I didn't even finish it because the big reveal of the villain was going to be so obvious

Crackdown 2 and 3 for me, and it's not even close. There was no other game that captured the feeling of being a superhero like crackdown did. With a few tweaks to the gameplay, mostly around the boss fights, crackdown 2 could have ensured a lasting franchise. What'd they do? Reuse the city and add zombies. Emotional damage!

I'm still salty about the Resident evil 3 remake, the original was amazing, but the remake they cut about a third of the content out that the original game had, and they could have patched it in with DLC, but they didn't, it was just a copy paste of the RE2 remake, a cash grab, and RE3 has so much potential and deserved better.

Most disappointing in history of the universe is that weird game where the Asian guy from walking dead is frustratingly walking around with a weird baby attached to his genitals. And there's ghosts and flying tardigrades and young girls with old man bodies and it's just a big disappointing mess of nonsense.

Far Cry 6 was one of the most disappointing games I've played in a long time, Far Cry 5 is one of my favorite games of all time (and it's really helped by the fantastic music by Dan Romer, but then Far Cry 6 released and was really just mediocre at best, with horrible dialogue and no Hurk at its worst.

Saints Reboot did not miss the point at all as it was plenty fun, part 4 was so over-the-top it no longer felt special so i was glad to see it go in a more grounded direction, jokes were plenty funny and not lame or Cringe-worthy at all(though the does describe parts of this video perfectly)

I didn't play Road Rage so my 2017 pick would be Mass Effect: Andromeda. Not the worst game of the year, not even a terrible game in some areas (the combat was actually really good) but such a buggy, disappointing mess overall. Plus it killed the franchise for 6 years and counting.

4: 36 which a lot of people now refer to as Sonic 06, for a reason, the game had a reputation for not being that great
Uh, yeah. It came out in 2006, but had the same title as the original. That would still be true if it was good, just ask Doom 2016

Mine would be Diablo 3. That's cool people liked it, but I really was disappointed they turned a dark, dreary, and difficult game into a brightly lit up, easy as pie game with so many things on screen going on that I couldn't see what was even going on

My disappointing game was Werewolf The Apocalypse. I absolutely love werewolves, and was really excited to get to play as one, shape shifting from human to wolf to werewolf. But it was just boring. It could've been so awesome if done right.
