Trying to save money while gaming? Here are some tips. Let us know if you have any! DatBoiRazzz: My policy now is just waiting for games to be old, or waiting for sales. For example I've been patiently awaiting The Witcher 3 Complete Edition to be $20 for the longest. My only exemption is if a new game is released really close to Black Friday and I REALLY want it, I bought XCOM 2 a few months after it came out for like $30 on black friday. Patience is the best virtue for saving money, in all aspects really.

Wait until you are actually planning on playing it and wait til the price drop on Amazon ( I love Amazon), I-m more into collecting blu rays, but still a gamer sense I was a kid, just not a collector, so I play a game and have fun with it and wait a bit to get that new game you want that is just out, and even if ya wait like a month it could of dropped by a fiver on Amazon ( or something to that affect)

Game share on Xbox one and get half of your games for free when you and a friend buy games digitally. Me and a friend buy every other new release that we both want to play, and that way we essentially double our game library while buying only half the games. I have saved 400 bucks in a year.

I buy gift cards from Gamestop as much as possible for the points. More points = more money for games. I get my DLC & digital copies, etc via giftcards. Also bonus, if PSN/Xbox gold/ Nintendo gets hacked, no one has my CC.

another tip never buy games on ps store unlesse its on sale because on ps store they always ask to much money, most games cost the same as the day they came out so if you buy on ps store first check the price online

If you have an xbox id highly recommend game sharing digitally with a friend. Making each others xbox your home xbox, you can play each others library of games, both at the same time. Take turns purchasing games.

In my country buying physical copies is more expensive as they have import taxes and so on, while digital copies don't.
Plus, shops have to pay rent and their prices reflect that.
