Sony PlayStation has announced they are opening the floodgates for Fortnite crossplay after months of fan outcry. How did we get here? Let's break it down Dr: Year 2012, two kids from game academy.the story of revenge.
PS3: Hi Xbox360 wanna play together?
Xbox360: Oh.. hi PS3... Nah, i m not gonna play with a loser and failure like you.
Ps3:ok...i guess im gonna hang out with PC, at least he quite humble compare to you...
FEW YEARS LATER,Both Ps3 and Xbox360 grown up and become Ps4 and Xbox1... Ps4 become mr popular and doing better while Xbox1 start to fall and fail hard.
Xbox1: yo ps4...i just wanted to apologize to what i said few years ago and..
Ps4: Hmm... Did you guys hear something?it sounds like a loser asking for something...
Pc and Nintendo: LOL... Savage bro...
Ps4: nah I'm just messing a little, is ok Xbox1. i hope u learn ur lesson and i forgive and forget about our rivalry and there is a new student that just join our class... His name is Mobile.

Xbox 360 doing way better than ps3 ...Sony approaches for crossplay ,Microsoft denies
Now ps4 doing waaaaaaay better than xbox one .....Microsoft approaches for crossplay,Sony denies
Now all people reading news say xbox/Microsoft are very very pro consumer(supporting crossplay) unlike Sony(who don't)....please note that none of these companies are pro consumer ,,,,they just want ur money ...I kinda hate MS for villanizing playstation now ,portraying themselves like the good guys...when they themselves used the same exact reason Sony used now in the 360/ps3 era to reject crossplay

Microsoft was always open to crossplay as long as some requirements were met.
There were only 4 games that sought crossplay during the PS3 and 360 days, largely because most games were P2P instead of server-based. Of those, 2 had technical issues that prevented crossplay, and even required router configuration to allow for the proper open ports.
Live, on the other hand, was pretty much plug and play and didn't require hardcore router configuration.
To claim that MS was scared of their market position because Portal 2 (and only 1 other title) wanted crossplay is a ridiculous theory.

It's been a long well fought battle to get this far with cross play on all systems but I hope that sometime in the near future they settle their differences and alow cross play for all games it would be a huge step for the gaming industry as a whole, plus the money they could make would probably be the one thing that will get them to do it. Also one quick fix even if they wanted to have console only exclusives then make them a single player but don't have ass the story then just make multiplayer games cross play compatible so it would be alot more fun and diverse

If all online multiplayer games become cross platform, consoles would have to start competing for real in terms of specs and performance instead of pretending to compete by setting up new closed ecosystems where they try to lock the players into every generation.
[Sarcasm] ans if they start to compete on specs and performance, console player will sooner or later overcome their tecnological ignorance and see the light that is pc gaming[/sarcasm]

These companies just don-t understand the costumers that are buying the products they see us as statistics numbers and dollar signs- they don-t realize that through connection through unification we gamers friends and foes will slowly walk away from this closed system of 2v1 PlayStation, Xbox, PC they are in the wrong it is about it-s the customers and people that want to revolutionize the gaming world we sadly live in today

Why can't they just put the servers together and Microsoft can worry about its own players and sony can worry about its own players they basically have the same online rules and guidelines i don't understand why they have to act like their 5 and make it more complicated then it needs to be
reply

This is the first step to a dark time ahead because if we have crossplay to out all game system that mean there's no competition in between all system that means no point of buying one in particular system. In this case might as well buy the steam system and play it on your tv

Each one has their game option: Xbox is for anyone who wants to play on the best online platform. PlayStation is for anyone who does not want to lose new games and Nintendo is for anyone who wants to play On-The-Go

I-m pretty sure the reason that they didn-t do cross play back then was because PSN was trash and was constantly being hacked, that-s why they emphasized the user experience so much
