Cyberpunk 2077 Secret Reboot: 10 Things You Should Know JonnyBlaze325: I preordered this game years ago and haven't played it yet. When I tried day one for the ps4 the cars wouldn't stay on the road so I just lost all interest. I even bought a 200 collector box set for the game which I still haven't opened lol. I know it's fixed by now but I'm finally going to jump in and play it on the ps5 when this is released. They did do the free ps5 upgrade thing which was nice as well. I know I'll love it.

I love the premise and look of the game. But the game is unplayable, even today.
The tutorial is useless. Playing the tutorial is like starting a boss fight right at the start of the game! I couldn't get through the tutorial and had to restart the game and skip the tutorial so I could get on with the game.
The missions are too difficult. That one where you have to search the rich guy's room and disable his security system is a mess. The tutorial just before that mission just went by too fast, and I didn't retain any of the game mechanics when I got to the real mission.
If they repair these parts of the game, I'll definitely buy the reboot and give the game a 2nd chance.

I love Keanu, he's an amazing actor and human, I still wish we could get Cyberpunk without Johnny Ride Along, the whole story revolves around him. I want the you're a nobody trying to survive In Night City that isn't driven by what is effectively near suicidal idea of breaking into Arasaka. Setting-wise a lone operator who's actively dying and losing control of their body should not have been to pull that off. Give us what the game was gonna be before they got Keanu to join.

Not gonna lie, this actually feels like a breath of fresh air. I played it on lunch but dropped it after 80 hours of gameplay due to a bug/crash that literally erased all my data. It was a rough hit. Hearing all of this feels like redemption, and I hope it is true. Definitely will give it a second chance. Starting fresh with no hassle nor issues will make this experience much better.

No matter how good this game gets after years of patches we can't let up any pressure on cd project to make sure that it doesn't happen again. As consumers we need to have a longer memory then the latest news when it comes to devs. I hope it becomes a good game but we shouldn't have to wait 2 years and a paid dlc until a game is at the state it should have been at at launch

So will be able to go from the original main story straight into this dlc story? Like instead of the 2 options of dying in night city and doing it on your own or doing it with Panam and escaping with her, will we be now given a 3rd option where after we go in and get the last mission done we can go to the dlc story and then live instead of dying one way or the other

I hope this kicks ass. Conceptually this game is. I think they really wanted to deliver a game changer of a game but had bitten off way too much. I give them some credit for the attempt but it was a lose lose situation. They almost HAD to drop the game no matter what simply because of all the built up hype and excessive delays.
This game deserves redemption.

Vehicular combat would be fun. IF they fix the controls. After 150 hours in the game i can drive reasonably well but even then its still more clunky and unresponsive than almsot any other open world game with vehicles.
Its honestly the worst vehicle controls ive ever experienced. And for the record, i love the game.

The problem was it was a next gen game that released on old consoles first.
The game itself was great! I had a awesome time with it on Series X and it s a shame that every time it s mentioned by games Media the bad launch is always talked about. There s a really great game there

They just used the Escape from New York premise. like EXACTLY. What they do with it. thats the question. I dont have as much faith in CDPR as i once did, but ill surely be getting this, and giving them one last chance. If they screw this one up. im out. Itll probably get delayed.

Cyberpunk didn t even need a reboot. It s been fantastic for a while now on capable hardware. As someone who has exclusively played it on Series X from launch day it really shouldn t have ever been released on last gen systems. Super hyped for Phantom Liberty though!

If you think about it, September 26, 2023 may be the true release date Cyberpunk 2077 was suppose to have if it wasn t rushed out due to corporate demand. Just imagine if it was never released in December 2020? This reboot would ve been an amazing version 1.

Cyberpunk was one of those games where I didn't care about the flaws, I was so absorbed by it that it has been one of my favorite games in a while.
Think back to Armymen sarges heroes on the N64. everything is terrible but it was so much fun I just didn't care.

Phantom liberty being priced what it is, being priced in general is insane after the miserable launch it had call me crazy I think this should ve free
to make up for that nonsense at launch and and all the patches going forward idk anyone else feels like this?

reply

Main thing I am excited for is the overhall to the perks/cyberwear. Will make it feel like there is a lot more options for builds beyond what the game already has. I'm a little concerned about armor not being tied to gear anymore, but I'll reserve judgement.

Ive played this game 5 times already and love to hear that it's getting a reboot. It still has SO much potential. Hopefully they add a full car customization feature and dual wielding for pistols. Those two were my two main features I wanted in the game.

Wait wait WAIT. Do they actually have the audacity to make people PAY for this expansion! rather than giving it to players as an apology for the launch, just giving them, you know, the game they had promised in the first place. Thats disgusting
reply

When I was a child I dreamed of being a game tester and being paid for it! Little did I know that when I grew up my dreams would come true and I would actually pay the creator 60 or more to let me test them and then I get to keep the game!
reply

I played at launch and was morbidly depressed. I gave it another chance after the next gen update and was so impressed, I had so much fun. I am actually ready to give them more money for dlc for this game. Which is insane to think about.

Once this patch comes out, so many mods are going to be destroyed, but this is the first time I think it may actually be a good thing, because so many life changing mods were meant to compensate what CDPR failed to deliver before.
