halo 3, recon armour is incorrect, and correct at same time
it only became unlockable after reach came out, and originally recon armour was for bungie employees only
towards the end of halo 3's life while under bungie's belt did they decide to give people a CHANCE to unlock the armour and one of the requirements was to battle against bungie employees and win in matchmaking,
then a few years later you could unlock it doing the vid master challenge's when 343 took over. then they made it completely free to get old fans back.
(been playing since Combat evolved and was religious about halo till around the time halo 5 came out)

I wish you'd have explained Recon armour better... that shit took 4 years to not be bungie staff exclusive or granted by them, whenever there was a flaming head in the lobby people just went NUTS. The community was desperate for it and there were all these rumours about how to unlock it -

In the original Bioshock, if you fully researches the houdini splicers with the research camera you unlocked the natural camouflage tonic that turned you invisible when standing still, it was really useful for surprise attacks on patrolling splicers and getting the jump on big daddies.

In resident evil 4 the stuff you have to go through to get 5 stars on the mercenary mini game to get the hand cannon makes you a much better player. After I got it I played a new file and just shot everybody in the knee making them kneel and then kicked their heads off.

The magic katana in fable 2 ir red dragon gun both so so fast do syrong look them up they are dam near unbeatable

the ds2 rings are easier than people think. you can do it in ng+
you can just farm rotten souls and hold onto them then go ng+ and break all the souls to let you enter the shrine of winter
skipping right to the castle.

i'm kinda bummed in halo mcc, the hayabusa and katana are pretty much available off the bat, you don't have to actually work for them, takes away a sense of accomplishment
