10 problems only 2000s gamers faced
video description
Maybe Gamestop should begin a resurgence of selling physical, where possible, because we mostly want our games on disc. Well I do anyways!
As for the early days of Steam, I remember refusing to use their platform, as it sucked bad and would rather go buy a physical copy, then add it to my library that way. No end of times, my payment was declined or lost. How I hated the early iteration of Steam, it was so bad. At least I still have my original Half Life box and disc, such a treasured package!

Oh, dear lord. The Steam thing. I was what could laughably be called a -professional- gamer at the time. My game was Counter-Strike and there came a point where you were required to use Steam if you wanted to play Counter-Strike. Even competitively. Except that Steam was absolute shit when it launched. I remember having to restart more than a few competitive matches because the servers went down or because the front end glitched out. It was bad. REALLY bad. x_x

I actually prefer wired controlers still. The few times I did use wireless I had latency and connectivity issues, not to mention having to charge the controller's batteries. Way more inconvenient to me than not.
Out of the whole list, bad internet has to be the biggest factor for me. I still remember trying to play Diablo 1 over dial up, and even with direct connection to the other end, it was really bad.

It's funny how people think Falcon is old just because he was around when people weren't born yet.
I was still in the PS2 era when the PS3 came out.
I'm not 30 and I've been through the end of the 8bit era.
Trek, I even saw some 6 years ago a mother buying a Xbox 360 to her son. The seller said it was the same as the Xbox one.

Ordering today too can take weeks- We don't have the web store Amazon in Norway, yet. Also even norwegian web stores, takes mostly over a week, these days yeah--
It was actually better for a few years ago, before they was gonna be -better-. Then it could take 2 - 3 days from capital city to over half the country. But today, at least a week.

As a kid, I had a Genesis (no saves), Gamecube (saves on memory card), and Gameboy Color/Advanced SP and DS (on game cartridge). Moving over to PC gaming I had my boot drive fail on me and I can't tell you how relieved I was when my Fallout 4 save wasn't lost when I had to install Windows onto a new drive.

I actually prefer buying physical copies, hell, even renting a game from a rental store than buying digitally. You feel more excited and hyped up buying them physically. Just exactly how super pumped up I felt after deciding to buy Super Mario Odyssey in person from GameStop instead of digitally few months ago.

best part of cloud saves that i have is i own both a high end PC and high end laptop for when I am on the go... I play a game on the PC and don't have to do anything and when I am out with my laptop I can play the same save without having to do anything..

One thing I do miss is if you buy a hard copy these days there-s no more game booklets in the game jacket anymore. Unless you buy the ultimate edition or some crap. Loved just reading some of the lore the games from this era provided through booklets.
