2021 saw tons of great surprises, but also plenty of disappointments and bad moves. Here are some recent gaming trends that we hope don't last LUKE: What really baffles me is how we can have games with so much potential especially in this modern day in age released with such bugs and crashes. I thought technology advanced not went backwards take cod and gta definitive Ed. Those really disappointed me I don-t play cod anymore online until they-ve fixed a lot of the screw ups which used to make cod good online. FIFA aswell constant issues and too much sbmm. I want to have fun not constantly have to be swet mode. I want to enjoy games like we all used to these days they are too competitive imo, single player definitely has a market aswell was playing need for speed hot persuit remastered and absolutely loved it same with the cod campaigns yes a little short but amazing storylines.

Let-s say what-s really ruining gaming! Parents buying their kids the -popular- games to leave them in front of the TV and be quiet! Why?? Because the companies see theses sales and see that there are so many micro transactions (because what parent won-t pay 2/3 dollars/euro to shut their kid up?!) that it changes the entire landscape of gaming! Now nearly every company have micro transactions in their game or an online component instead of just a good, decent single player gamer that all of us OG gamers like! I-m fine with variety being out there! Gaming should be for everyone but the fact that they nearly all double down on their online components or micro transactions

literally everything on this list needs to go!!! Aside from Jakes list, what i would like to see go (drum roll)... Games Mimicking each other based on their sales. I get it, it's all about money in the end. That doesnt mean i want my Halo game with a season pass and cosmetic overides that you can purchase with micro-transactions. Season passes. Cosmetic overides. IT'S LIKE THEY DONT CARE ABOUT THE ACTUAL GAME ANYMORE! Making the game a free undercooked game with a ton of crap and cosmetic junk (stuff we should only care about if the game is actually good or worth playing).

7. i feel some developer just got lazy and didn't want to spend more time to fix it.
6. yeah it sucks.
5. owning digital game kind of sucks, at lease physical you still have that day 1 game data on it.
4. it bound to happen when a massive players gets online - all at once.
3. they kind of ruined other people chance to buy those products.
2. yeah, it not cheating or anything but still require the main game.
1. same as #7, but more on a new/sequel game.

I'm going to preface this with: I have absolutely no idea how online multiplayer servers work. Lol. But i have a question.
Couldn't a company have two sets of servers? Like a main server and a backup server?
Like, Could they have a cloned backup server, where they update or perform maintenance prior to the shutdown of the primary server?
Or would that be to costly?

Games coming out half-baked is not a new trend. That has been going on I would say for at least 10 years. Yeah Battlefield sucks right now but they made money so I think it's just a roll of the dice if they're actually going to put in work or not and polish the game. Sometimes they do sometimes they don't but as long as they make money they'll keep doing it half assed

This is what you get when you have a diversity hire program instead of hiring people on their merits and their qualifications and not their gender or their skin color. Rockstar has lost all of their original creators they-ve gone on doing other things so to be inclusive we must have diversity in our ranks and our product has to suffer for it.

The only reason Take-Two and rockstar are targeting modders is because modders make there games look better and more fun than they make it, look at the Trilogy and then look at a modded GTA game, there night and day, but because Rockstar are cry babies when things dont go there way or make millions of bucks from them, they want them gone.

people just need to educate themselves more as well. If you want to buy something new, there's plenty of content creators out there doing reviews (if there isn't a review wait for one). I've lost count how many times I've avoided wasting money on a game or some new piece of hardware because I watched at least 4 different reviews on it.

Stop pre-ordering games! Stop buying them in the first week like crazy! Stop getting over hyped by the graphics they show on trailers and demos! Stop trying to be the first one in the online multiplayer games!
Wait for an honest review! By the time you complain they already have your money!
Nuff Said!
