I just played Yakuza: Like a Dragon and it is easily in the top 5 JRPGs I've ever played. It's incredible.
Interestingly enough though the Yakuza games are called Like a Dragon in Japan. So Yakuza: Like a Dragon was called Like a Dragon 7 in Japan. It's pretty confusing but it seems like they're just going to continue with the Like a Dragon name in the west rather than Yakuza from now on since the 8th main game is titled Like a Dragon 8.

I m so excited for Rangnarok and the two Yakuza games with the normal beat em up RPG style, or in Ishin s case, a hack and slash. I hate turn based games and Y8 was a huge disappointment for me personally.
Edit: how the hell didn t you give the other two Yakuza games an honourable mention? Kiryu Kazuma is coming back! That warrants atleast a mention. He hasn t been seen in action since 2018 (2016 in Japan.

Im so glad they rebranded the yaluza games.
For those who dont know Yakuza was westernized grom Ryu ga Gotoku, which is basically like a dragon translated. And there's actually 2 samurai games RGG games didnt get to port because of branding issue (like a yakuza samurai? That doesnt make sense)

I severely hope that with PlayStation Stars people who have already got many if not all the trophies for many games they played are actually going to still get rewarded, and that they won't have to absolutely redo everything on a fresh account just to be rewarded for something they already did.

Like a Dragon: Ishin is not a new game it is a remake of the original Ishin which was only released in Japan 2014 because Sega believe westerners would not understand or care about Japanese themes etc. There was alot of demands for Ishin to be released in the west so this is the answer

that Like a Dragon yakuza game, its not the first time they've done it. They made one in like 2016 i wanna say, or around then, but it didn't leave japan. It was a ps3 game, using yakuza characters based in feudal japan. but I am super stoked to finally get to play one

Have to admit, Sony has a great lineup of games for the PS5. I can wait because I have to get through Horizon F. W, Elden Ring, Spiderman Remastered and Guardians of the Galaxy lol. So by the time I'm ready, the games will be patched and on sale perhaps haha. Love the PS5.

Growing up in the 90s playing pretty much anything I could get my hands on. These Tekken graphics are pretty much what we all couldn't wait for as a kid. I can't wait till playable graphics are like/better than the pre rendered cutscenes.
Well 90's kids. here we are.

It looks kinda neat I guess. But honestly the whole realistic style of most of those games just doesn t impress me anymore. It s to the point of graphics all blending in together to me. Tekken is the most impressive, but those fighting games I never liked.

Hopefully Like A Dragon will have english dub and some of the jokes from the Yakuza series. Get that Yakuza guy that likes to pretend to be a baby. Mario pops up in the Judgment games lol. I could see some Donkey Kong thing happening ha.

stellar blade looks fantastic. Ive wanted someone to combine anime like animations with a darksouls combat system to make something tough that you need to learn but is fast and flashy. ill be watching out for that one
