Most Ambitious FPS With Ultra Realistic Destruction in Unreal Engine 5 RyFry: Besides the obvious performance and balancing updates, they really just need to stop people from leaving games and find a way for teams to communicate with each other better. I think it'd be the next big fps if they released it finished. Was a ton of fun besides continuous quitters on at least one if not multiple teams every match of both modes, and crashing wasn't an issue for 99% of people so that wasn't the excuse. Worst part is the tournament mode claimed to give leavers penalties but it definitely wasn't for everyone after testing it myself. Still I have high hopes for this game if they listen to the community that was taking part in giving feedback for the playtest
edit: Oh and it could really use more than the one mode, love the variety they tried to add to it. But cod's resurgence mode is not gonna keep people entertained for long. Even with the amazing environmental destruction

i was in the beta and i gotta say it's a lot of fun if you are lucky to get somewhat good teammates and if they don't leave within the game which was a big problem in the playtest (don't know if maybe people were having hardware issues with it but i haven't heard of it. The destruction is awesome and the movement is pretty good too, of course there's small tweaking they have to do but otherwise it's looking pretty pomising. Personally i thought the weather effects pretty cool even though fog couldve been more intense but i really loved the rain since it darkens the map and with the reflections and lighting i personally think it visually looks the most stunning but the random events need to be much improved on since they were hardly noticeable and didn't have really any impact like you'd normally expect from a meteor shower. The overall foundation is awesome and they can really do a lot with it now so i'm definitely looking forward to the release.

I tried this game during the close beta and simply couldnt get into it. The movement feels super sloppy, one moment it feels like youre sliding on ice and the next it feels like you have weights on your ankles, the momentum of movement also feels really clunky. The shooting mechanics are okay but the weapon balance is incredibly off, especially during the last days when they buffed a certain weapon that completely ruined the slow TTK pace of the game. Performance was really poor as well but it is to be expected from a closed beta. The only game mode available was Cashout which I didn't personally like as the balance was really off and it punished people for fighting other players and getting kills, which is quite odd for a casual FPS.

if you are coming into this game expecting polished gunplay and movement, look far far away from this game. the movement and gunplay feels like an indie studio stole the code from a different worse indie studio. not to mention, controller play is barely functional yet they promote using a controller, and the aiming is somehow 10 times worse on controller. the bullets never seems to hit anywhere close to your target and the recoil of most guns is so strong its difficult to even place a shot let alone with the terrible hitboxes. im sorry guys but this game is a 5/10 at best currently. hopefully with time some of these will improve but the gunplay is baked into the engine and i dont think it will ever be better.

It's about time someone truly showed the power of Niagara and Chaos destruction. So many times I've seen people just auto-fracture a mesh and think that's it. It's not. The asset preparation for this is crazy details. You have to build everything in a modular fashion, right down to the frames on the windows. Then when you think you prepared the asset enough for good fracturing, you have to setup all the things like hooks and weighting then do the Niagara particle systems which is a mission by itself (Niagara is magic to even experienced game developers. It makes me happy to see someone put the effort in.

My biggest complaint with the beta other than the bad performance and the unresponsive movement is how boring the game is in almost every way possible! Characters look so bland and ugly, the maps are just empty white buildings, matches are so short that it's hard to even get a grove of the game before you're thrown out to the main menu and the destruction in the trailer is nothing close to what it feels like when playing. putting 2 c4's on a wall will make a hole that you can barely fit into!

I wish it was sci-fi or fantasy rather than this. Oh well. Gameplay looks kinda cool still.
Also, for games that have such a distinctive feature I don't see the point of playing any other class other than the demolishy one. Example: why would you play anything that isn't the driller in Deep Rock Galactic? That defeats the purpose of playing the game in the first place. If I wanted to play anything other than an explody dude who blows up the environment I'd be playing a different game.

I've been playing it and it has a lot of good stuff, but the gameplay feels a little lame. The shooting feels good and the destruction looks nice, visually it is very cool. My problem with it is that most of the time it seems like you are playing hide and seek instead of fighting and shooting enemies, the matches are just too boring to keep you engaged. Maybe playing with friends in a premade group makes the experience way better, but still, it lacks something.

Looks good, ditch the modern guns and go with more sci-fi angle, add an exo suit for equipment like COD Advanced Warfare. A Crisis suit to switch between stealth, power and speed would be cool. Stat tweaking builds for speedier cool downs or maybe more HP. Either way it's exciting to just have a destruction focused engine based game, seems like it needs to become a standard to get people interested in the shooting genre again.

I would like to see a feature like in the now deceased Hyper Scape with the integration of live streams users deciding outcomes in matches it would be really cool something like a poll for the viewers to select what random events happen in the match, I think that was a great feature of Hyper Scape and for a game like this it would be great.

We ve finally reached a point in gaming where big butt jiggle spread physics are finally on the horizon. I will finally be able to replicate the absolute BOOM of my thumping butt twerk. And people will be able to experience my twerk in the comfort of their own homes. One day we will have jiggle spread VR experiences. Thank you gameranx

My dream game is a superhero game in the same vein as Prototype mixed with Red Faction: Guerilla's destruction for the ultimate power fantasy. This is one step closer towards that. I wish AAA studios spent more resources on interactivity with the environment rather than making them look pretty.

This, legit, sounds like a more adult version of Overwatch 2. By adult, I mean boots on the ground, COD-like gritty shooter and not like the lighter color palette of Overwatch. Love the destruction and the idea of weapons on a cooldown? That could actually be an FPS game changer for this type of genre!

I heard battle pass and no longer care. The second battle passes and intrusive microtransactions became a part of almost every multiplayer game is when I stopped playing most online games. It's been years since we've had anything as good as most ps360 era multiplayer games.

I had fun playing in the beta. It was fast and chaotic and I hope embark can pull this off, but it's a nexon game. They are not known for their support of games and they are usually littered with micro-transactions. I'll reserve full judgement for full release.
