Sorry Gameranx. While I am vaguely looking forward to FF7Rebirth, Remake was an absolute horror shitshow of unreasonably long corridor-like areas filled with wannabe puzzles that are clearly only there to turn a 10 hr game into a 30 hour game. It is an utter abomination to the gaming world as a whole, and should be held forever as a lesson in what not to do in video game remakes.
Namely, tripling a games play time by filling it with clearly filler content designed for padding is untenable.
No, I havent beaten it. I cant sit through all the boring, mandatory bullsht. Like the hour long tunnel walk. or the 3 hour long sewer crawl immediately after. or the 2 hour catwalk maze/backtracking nightmare literally immediately after that Why is there 7 hours of filler content with literally zero substance to break it up Why is the entire game like this Why is the entire game 20 minutes of good, interesting stuff broken up by 7 hours of useless filler content
Also, how is there no grinding in this game The enemies dont respawn! HOW is any of that fun
Seriously, if anyone has actually read this far, answer the question. How does any of that sound fun
Edit: Please dont think im just some hater. The original is my favorite all time game. Ive spent 25 hrs in this game on the PS4, 20 hrs on the PS5, and about 8 hours on the Steam version. Ive tried modding the game to make it fun. Ive tried using cheat engine to replace not being able to grind in the game. Square Enix LITERALLY designed this game to not be fun. They took everything that COULD be made fun in this game, and added code to nullify the effects. You can NOT become OP in this game, you can NOT have a quick battle in this game. Its written into the code in order to prolong the game time.

I just dropped in to catchup on games.
The graphics on some of the games reviewed above are just WOW.
I don't play pc games hardly now, the last game would of been Might and Magic Dark Messiah and around that time F. E. A. R/Extraction Point and the other F. E. A. R I cant remember now and Medal of Honor Pacific Assault all PC versions. Sometimes fire up Return to Castle Wolfenstien PC version for old times sake.

Even though FFVII is my favorite gamee of all time and loved the remake, Pacific Drive is my game of the month. Games like Mad Max and Days Gone had the awesome mechanic of your vehicle is essentially a main character, that you upgrade and takke care of. This game has that plus some difficult driving like Snowrunner mixed with some horror after dark. I cant wait for this game

So can no other company buy dontnod because tencent owns a minority stake in the company They just seem like the perfect studio for sony or microsoft to gobble up. Making all of these lowkey singleplayer AA releases that are usually high in quality, but have the jank that seems to come from not being fully funded. Microsoft esp seems to like studios like this rn.

This month is utterly stacked. Nighingale, Helldivers 2 and Rebirth are the biggest games for me this month.
Pacific Drive and Granblue are high up there too, and forgive me. but I actually liked what I played of the Skull and Bones closed beta, more then likely not a day one, especially with so many other games, but yeah. this is gonna be a big month.

I played the skull and bones beta this last one and it was horrific! Maybe one of the worst games i've ever played in my life. Anybody who thinks this is good I'm happy for you but wow.
Just as an edit, I absolutely love assassin's creed Black Flag and it's my favorite one of all of them if that means anything to anybody. Take from that what you will.

Granblue is going live very soon for anyone who pre-ordered - early access starts on Monday I think (it was supposed to be tomorrow but it got pushed back due to maintenance) and if you haven't played the demo, do it NOW.
Phenomenal game, with a tonne of post launch support planned that's all free.

I probably gave falcon a lot of shit during his time, I gotta own up to it, he seems like he genuinely changed up a lot of aspects of his personality that weren’t the coolest for a videogame enthusiast. Like it gives me hope knowing someone unlikable could redeem themselves eventually, inspiring tale if you really think about it

After such a drought of games early in the console cycle, the releases have been going hard. Another month where I don't have the budget to buy everything. I'm also still playing games from previous months. I'll make sure to hug my family before next month's games start dropping.

interesting animation style.
I remember a game YEARS ago, taking place on a train, the company even used a car from the famed 'Orient Express' as the basis of the story, no video, all images, it was a story driven narrative, it was charming.

To me the suicide squad game feels too much like marvels avengers. A game with a decent story and good characters but terrible combat and rubbish co-op systems. Customisation and cosmetics are decent but it feels like a game that will suffer on a lot of major fronts

I dont know why i keep hearing people are worried about the suicide squad game. its going to be a good game. How do I know watch the trailer again and think Saints Row'. Yeah. Seriously this game is going to be identical to Saints Row just with DC characters.

Suicide squad is the 3rd person version of the Injustice game fighting possessed superheroes done years ago, and add a splash of the Suicide squad. It's not a new premise. But not much else to play on Ps5 these days, so i guess.

Aw man. I've been on the verge of acquiring a PS5 for a little while now and I think I just might get one soon. Many of these games tickle my itch and I feel like the PS4 is slowly losing terrain. Great vid, guys. Thanks.

I don't know about you guys but each list's fonts are too small.
It looks great but it is too hard to read, at least with my old eyes.

The Banishers thing with the two different characters isnt new. Been done a heap. probably the best game I can think of was Styx. One character is a massive Orc, the other a sneaky goblin
