B4B worth a playthrough if you get it on sale. Solid not good hard to put your finger on but it doesn't capture your attention like L4D.
Killing floor 2 absolutely a buddy game and even better with a couple of pints.
Barotrauma thanks for the recommendation. Never heard of it but it looks interesting.
I thoroughly enjoyed The Quarry but you need friends who are into the storyline. Nothing better than watching your buddy mess up and get taken out. Downside. Unlike it takes two, you all need to own the game.
Dead by Daylight is amazing on PC. Console version has its issues from my experience ungodly cue times when playing with friends.
And yes I wholeheartedly agree with L4D at #1. Anytime my group is stuck on what to play in-between new titles it's near universal back to L4D.

GTFO isn't based around an asteroid hitting and bringing things with it. And you're not going in for valuables. Thing is, all of this is explained within the first few missions and a bunch is explained on the Steam page. The facility called The Complex you're being sent into was a facility deep underground that had a sort of self-destruct bomb be set off inside it. The reason for it was because they were tamping with interdimensional portal technology and they got infected and it spread into our dimension as well. Someone armed the bomb and set it off to stop it from spreading. You're being sent in to find answers about what happened. You're a team of prisoners, so you're expendable. I'm not sure what game you were talking about, but it wasn't GTFO

I wish there could be more survival horror co op games with a story and not some lobby shooter or lobby haunted mansion-esque type game.
Resident evil 5 and 6 don't really count because they were more action horror than survival horror.
The last game that my bro and I played that had a survival horror feel was ObsCure.
Ammo was limited, health was limited, saves were limited and it had a story (was bad but still a story nonetheless)

Hey gameranx. We love your top 10/20 videos. Can you do a top 10 for family co-op games. Stuff you can sit down with family or friends and just have some fun and brings people togeather and bond over gaming. Thinks like smash brawl, golden axe/streets of rage for the mega drive split screen mine craft. Think it would be a good narrative for a video and also secretly looking for recommendations

I really wish at least a few of these games had split-screen on the consoles. I know one or two do but it is so frustrating that the concept is basically dead. My nephew and I have played split screen co-op since Halo CE and still enjoy an hour or three of Borderlands from time to time. I just wish someone would start the trend again. Is it really that difficult on today's consoles?

I love your list and there are some games i will look into, but im sad that everyone ignores Cry of Fear. Its free, it has an amazing story and mechanics and it has coop, so you can play with your friends trough various levels. Its very underrated, especially if you factor in the quality of the game.
But again amazing vid. Keep it up.

I notice there are a lot of zombie games on this list. A lot of people correlate zombie and horror, and the two do go together real well, but probably just as often, if not more so, zombie games are more action than horror. Some of those games where you are gunning down zombies I wouldn't really put into the horror category.

About Deceit. I use to play it since the beginning. It use to be fun to play with friends or randoms. The concept is solid as well. The thing is, the game has a super toxic but overall small playerbase(I would say worse than Dead by Daylight and LoL. The game devs/game mods are pretty toxic as well

While I did enjoy the first Dying Light, but man. trying to play it co-op, worst experience I had in years.
Couldn't join sessions on one console and barely on my another. Would disconnect and crash constantly even when it did work.
Never got any better, no matter what I tried.

Resident evil 5 was so much fun in online Co-op! the only thing annoying about was LOCAL Coop, the screen gets cut into two boxes diagonal to each other. what's with that? It cuts you out of the immersion and screen estate gets smaller. I don't know if they have changed it now.

I personally say Dead by Daylight shouldn't even be on this list lol. Rather play other games that are better that are similar. Any independent game on steam that's like DBD, is always going to be better. Rather have F13 over them all.

I wish you guys would make the difference between multiplayer co-op and couch co-op. So many times I ll be interested in one of your game recommendations only to find out that I can t play it with my friends when they come over.

Phasmophobia is great. It was always kinda spooky, but they have made a few major updates that just kick it up multiple levels each time. I ve been playing for years with my buddies and we still can get spooked some times.

Alien Fireteams is another good choice a very dark atmosphere with tanky xenomorphs and close quarters combat is terrifying and even when you play with friends it's easy to become isolated especially on higher difficulties

Resident Evil Revelations 2 is by no means a perfect game. But by all means is a hell of a ride with a friend. Me and my brother split screen co oped the entire game and it was super fun and weird in a good way

If you re gonna list dying light 1 and 2 together then you def shoulda listed resident evil 6 when you listed 5 bc both lean way heavy into coop gameplay that doesn t exist anywhere else in the franchise

Aliens fireteam elite deserves a spot on this list, it's a blast with friends and let's be honest, who doesn't like blasting xenos. Let's pretend colonial marines doesn't exist though as that's a trash fire

Me and a friend of mine go back into Resident Evil Operation Racoon City during this time of year. Very flawed game but we love it and have fun with it when we give it the once over every Halloween.
