Final Fantasy VII Rebirth - Before You Buy

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth - Before You Buy Sounding like it may even be harder than Remake Remake had some steep difficulty spikes at times. Some bosses left hardly any room for error. We'll see how this goes. I do consider myself a pretty decent gamer. But with no shame i will admit i did put down the difficulty to Easy on Remake for the latter stages of the game my first time trough it. For some reason i kinda did strugle to master the combat in Remake. I enjoyed it alot tho thankfully. Rebirth sounds like it's a much bigger game tho. Remake with all the siequests and backtracking was tops 35 hours. So the longer run time thankfully leaves more room to git good. HAHA! I'm pumped for it tho. Even played trough Crisis Core last week just to really catch up on Zack's story.

So general question for someone who might know. But I beat the remake part 1 game on PS4 on release didn’t keep my data cos I went to PS5 and upgraded the game and just never replayed it cos I bought it on PC and replayed there. So now I have no clear save data for the leviathan summon materia. I also don’t have access to the dlc on ps5 cos the upgrade didn’t include it but I was able to get it for free with just buying the game on steam. So now I’m locked out of another summon materia. What’s the point Sounds like I should just wait cos there’s no way I wanna play the game while being gatekept from summon materia. Did I miss anything cos it’s starting to feel like I should just wait at this point.

to hear falcon say this game is pretty much unhealthily massive is such a joy. seems like the devs really translated the same feeling you get when leaving midgar and you get to the open world to realize that massive area you just spent 5 to 10 hours and where a lot of stuff hapened was just the tip of the game and you were just overwhelmed by the scope, but nearly 30 years later. Honetly the more i hear about this game it feels like this actually is the first or second game actually kinda qualified to be caled quadruple A game (besides BG3 maybe. hype is not enough to describe what im feeling like damn. waiting this long for this project really paid off.

It's days like today where I really hate my backlog. Still need to play the Remake but just popped early game Elden Ring back in.
Some of the fights looked like enemies were bullet sponges, and I'm hoping this isn't a 300hr completion, but will definitely be picking this one up and hopefully getting it done by the end of the year. However, I'm also the dude playing Maneater and Bioshock for the 3rd completions after just completing Bloodborne for the 1st time in 2024, 9 years after the game came out and 6 years after it got me to sub to PS, so who knows ha.

Had a couple of goes trying to play FFXV but both times I got bored in the compulsory training section. (Windows PC version). It doesn't save progress either, so if I have another go, I will have to start again.
Never played any of the FF series before and am keen to play, but getting put off. I know I need to learn the combat as it's quite unique, but it's a tedious tutorial. There's also a bit much thrown at the player imo.

1. It makes FFXVI look bad.
2. It proved that JRPGs and Japanese-style games can sell. They don't need to westernize their games to appeal to the oversea audience. They can stay Japanese and have goofy moments in their games, because that's what the gamers around the world love. Just ignore those western journalists who told the Japanese to stop having anime tropes in games in order to appeal to them, it's not true.

I don't think, I'll be playing this game until I get the whole trilogy remake edition. There's just too many games to play and still playing catch up from last gen games for me, too. From indies to triple AAA games.
Man, the video game market is over saturated right now. Both for good and bad reasons. People should not be complaining, if they're bored with video games in my opinion. Lol.

anyone who played please tell me this
does it have
> Long empty corridors
>Slow crouch moving area
>Stunfest boss so you need to change characters in fight within 0. 1 sec
>Cringe ass cutscenes when actualy the fight gets good
>Dead ass NPCs asking you to pick 5 flowers from the remote land
>Upgrade menu of a galaxy inside a sword
>Impactless summons

I'm looking forward to when they announce this for PC, that is when I plan to pick up the first one with the hope that once I am done with it the next part will be available on PC for me to continue the story. I enjoyed the original FFVII, and while the changes in the story weren't unexpected, I still look forward to revisting the world and retelling of the story again.

Despite the choice being between Switch mode blurfest or choppy 30fps, this sits at metacritic 93 with glowing reviews everywhere and the game director celebrating on Twitter like it's mission accomplished.
This is why they don't bother putting the optimisation in. Games media and a vocal minority online will always sandbag and gaslight for them.

$210 game if you buy each part on release. right now u can buy remake and rebirth for $70 digital. Maybe they will release 1-3 7 for a $70 bundle eventually, but it is so scummy to charge $210 for a single game. and naming is anti-consumer. 7 remake. 7 rebirth. 7. ok. Why Cuz they want you to buy each game as if it is a full game.

I cannot wait to play this on PC. That's what's so atrocious about exclusives: usually when you're hyped for a new game, there's always a part of your brain that holds you back, saying it might be overhyped and terrible on release date. But when the exclusive is such a masterpiece, the wait for a PC port is just downright agonizing.

I never played a Final Fantasy game.
Is this only multi-player or it can be played single player also
Also which game should I start if want to give it a try.
I don't want to waste my money if get bored and leave it after buying.
Is 2016 Final Fantasy is a great start for a beginner in rpg or jrpg

Final fantasy 7 remake, remake part 2, original remake.
Dude was so excited he couldnt even remember the name of the games lmao
its ff7 remake and ff7 rebirth the third will probably follow the same naming pattern so get ready for FF7 REvenge or some shit lol

There is really no going back from the dumb shit they did to the story in Remake, but in case you never cared about the original story and characters I guess have fun, I'll skip this one, plenty of great games this year to keep me busy.

I don't understand the aversion to calling out REMAKE as a shit game. REBIRTH looks better in every way, so what's the harm in saying the sidequests in REMAKE were just complete wastes of time that added nothing to the story
reply

I can't believe how SE have actually managed to pull off this remake. To live up to the impossibly high standards that people have built up in their heads for years, even before the remake was announced. It's a small miracle.
reply

The only thing i'm worried is the pacing, i saw a few review saying the last few chapter drag on.
I hated a few chapter in remake like the train section or needing to to through the sewer twice.

Was this the pre patched version Digital foundry found out, that the performance mode that they played looked kinda blurry in comparison with FF7 Remake for Ps5 and the shadows are heavy pixelated.
reply

Man, it sounds like I don't have the time or energy for this kind of game anymore. But it takes a great reviewer to show me how I'll feel about a game even if it won't be the same as you did!
