WWE 2K24 - Before You Buy
video description
I also hope that you actually reverse moves when the game recognizes that you clicked the reverse button on time. This happened in 22 a bit but was MUCH more frequent in 23 for some reason.

I feel like I'm going to react the same way to the WM Showcase. Overall i enjoy the mode but I loved the Rey Mysterio focused one and the John Cena one last year was cool. The environments are lackluster bc they are still pandering to last gen! I feel like it's passed time for the yearly games to let go and push the current systems to the limit. I'm glad I'm hearing good things so far about this release tho. This might be the first before you buy that I haven't bought yet lol

It appears there is the option to not have the ropes in your face 100% of the time. Now the only problem is the downgraded gameplay. Once they fix that they can give us WWE 2k19 again in 5 years and act like they did something right, as if the journey through mediocre games was necessary.
Getting used to the gameplay of 2k22 was one thing. Having the camera so close, making the ring and arena look tiny and cluttered was too much. Glad it’s at least visually appealing.

Haven't been into professional wrestling in about 20 years or so, and never really got into the video game versions so I'm not too familiar with how they normally look, but is it just me or is the character animation really stiff Not necessarily the entrances, and not all the time, but while watching this video I often noticed there wasn't a lot of fluidity when the wrestlers were moving around or fighting and it was really kind of off-putting.

After they shut down the servers so soon for WWE 2k22 I've lost interest in buying anymore of these. The creation zone is the main reason I enjoy the WWE games and being forced to always buy the latest game installment just to enjoy that feature makes me not wanna buy these anymore. A slight roster change and a few tweaks isn't worth $70 to $120. Especially if there just going to shut the servers down in year or two.

It’s getting there hey. The realism is starting to happen.
But it’s always the animation that catches up with the high standard of 3D models. Still a bit jittery. But I know why. When you get two separate animations which are about to interact, they need to align, then execute their action.
Not easy to get right. This why sometimes you see the models of the wrestlers floating towards each other.

I got fed up with 2K shutting down servers 2 years after games get released so I'm not buying it anyway, quit back with WWE 2K20. The second the servers go down half the game goes away with it! Online Creation Suit, 2K Towers, MyFaction. 2K hits a button and it's like seeing Thanos snap half of your game into dust, I'm not paying 70USD on a game that's going to get nuked not longed before released

If they just make the ring shake more and the slams sound louder. And a little more arcade action with the strikes especially and less simulation and then the game is perfect!
I’m glad to hear they gave a new camera angle where it’s more on the wrestlers and less on the whole crowd. Wich was the other huge thing they needed that I felt was almost common sense and they got it down!

I'm waiting for a content creator to update us on Universal mode. Also the submission animations. If the DL and UL features got any better, so the created characters I download aren't losing their attributes. In rival matches are the scenes randomly generated or do I still have to pick what I want to happen via R, P, S style. Everyone is talking around those things.

My issue with showcase mode is the constant cutscenes interrupt the game play every 2 minutes there’s a cut scene & if you take a look at all the objectives on the side you must do you’ll find yourself pausing & checking out the control screen more often then not to figure out how to do certain moves. Show case feels more like a chore than anything

After all these iterations of this game, I can't believe the characters are still moving around like robots, sliding and popping all over the place. It's really frustrating to watch to be honest. Everything looks flat and overly bright.
I went back and looked at footage from fight night champion for the ps3. And it looks SO much better than this. why

Gave this a try with a friend, and I'm not impressed. It feels very same same to me, some odd quirks here and there, with the only real take away being the graphics. Certainly not worth its weight in cost, but I've had that feeling about this genre for quite a few years now. Occasionally they add something neat, but this isn't one of those times.

All they have to do is make Universe Mode/Career Mode like it was in No Mercy, Here Comes the Pain, Shut Your Mouth/SVR 2006-2008. That’s it! And then just make the action just a little more Arcade like with more Fluid Strikes and transitions to grapple without the animation. Then the games will what they always should have!

Me and my wife have been playing these on release for the last 4 games and this is by far the best. MyGM is NEXT LEVEL the character fidelity and crowd reactions to taunts and music is also unbelievable. I could go on and on but they’ve definitely gotten back to fun gameplay mechanics with TONS of extras.

This can’t get 2K23! It’s almost the exact same game minus Brock, Goldberg and others. Also if you buy the deluxe the code pack doesn’t unlock every wrestler. Unless I’m missing something. Almost all of my legends are still locked. I wouldn’t have purchased the deluxe if I had known this.

We need multiplayer games, stop making single player games, nobody plays them. Maybe if they are 10$ on sale no multiplayer = no buy. Dragon's dogma 2 trash is worth 20$ at sale. Single player casuals only make up 20% of the gaming population. Why would anybody make single player games anymore.

2k24 is way better then 23 (at least for Day One performance. Loading speed is faster (especially in create superstar mode, no significant bug or glitches so far. Roster is larger and the models are more better.
The only thing I don’t like that much is some content is locked in myfaction mode.

Unenthusiatstic review didn’t even change Thumbnail from last years, Swaying the vibe of the expectations, sounds like they didn’t put enough time into this review. Unless the person who wrote it was in poor health, then by all means Great job buddy see you on the other side

The graphics are the best the gameplay is a 6/10 lacking various moves and reversals, there’s not unique sailing or a super heavyweight additional gameplay mechanic the impact of moves aren’t that impactful this game is a 5. 5-10 not very different from the last game
