10 INSANE Combat Games That Make You Feel UNSTOPPABLE
video description
And that's the problem I have with something like spiderman 2 vs web of shadows. Both use the venom suit to make you feel invincible, but the one forces you to use combos to achieve a variety of moves (web of shadows, which allows them to allow you to take on WAY more people at a time. Whereas the other one has you spamming square, holding square, tapping triangle or R1, while you spam your abilities in a cycle. and the kicker is, your most busted ability (L3R3) has you spamming square. that's the most efficient way to play. Press L3R3, spam square, then spam every ability you have, then gadgets, so you can use L3R3 again (this is super busted on miles, you can get your ultimate back before you end your ability spam by the end of the game. Especially with the upgrade that refreshes your abilities when you use your ult.

honorable mentions/part 2 sugestions:
elden ring - I mean, just watch bushy or other tryhards playing, it literally looks like they cannot be harmed while playing
superhot - this one is easy to master and you look super cool while playing, I myself got to 99 kills on endlessmode and I have never felt so much like a god
hellblade senuas sacrifice - the combat is super flashy and satisfying, the bridge is super challenging and all the bossfights manage to make you feel like a boss.
final fantasy 12 zodiac - maybe thats just me but crafting the perfect party and then having them slaying bosses with minimal effort has given me some of the most badass feelings Ive ever felt.
skyrim / morrowind - yeah obviously, those 2 in the lategame are the definition of powerfantasy.
ac odyssey / shadows of war - both games have the nemesis system and a really similar way to craft builds (with equipments and such) and on both beating the nemesis after a 50 minutes fight is extremely satisfying, and both games you feel like literally a god.
saints row 3 - I NEED A HEROOOO IM HOLDING OUT FOR A HERO TIL THE MORNING LIGHT
(also power blasting while you raid the penthouse bro this game is amazing)
vampire survivors - dont sleep on this one, its the ultimate you are a god/lawn mower simulator and you feel every bit of dopamine.

I would think that Bayonetta isn't too far off from Devil May Cry, in a similar vein of having multiple weapons with their own playstyles.
Anyways, I wouldn't mind sliding in Dead Rising 3 and Kingdom Hearts 3 for honorable mentions. I don't know why people hate Dead Rising 3, I genuinely like it and the vast number of weapons and vehicles to use are staggering and really fun to use. You can basically pickup any two items, slap them together, and then mow down hundreds of zombies with them. For Kingdom Hearts 3, there are lots of ways to defeat the Heartless that don't involve just swinging your keyblade, reaction commands, teammate combo attack, environmental attacks, Disney rides for some reason, but above all the weapon transformations. Each keyblade has its own transformation which for most of them changes your playstyle, culminating in a final attack which just sends Heartless and Nobodies flying.

This is the third video in a row that has reminded me how good black flag is. Probably why 15yo Sam bought it as his first steam game. I had no hope of actually running on that 4 core integrated graphics laptop in pc case (HP Pavilion that I was literally had a soldered in mobile CPU. I now I have a pc that can run it easily and I never even game. I'm currently downloading and am excited to see the game in more than 20fps for the first time!

The clip from Assassin's Creed 3 looks like the game suffers the same problem most action movies do. The idiot opponents who clearly have the hero outnumbered stand there watching their one buddy get beat to hell, then the next guy attacks. Yet, the rest of the team just stands there waiting for their turn to, well, get beat to hell. I've only ever played AC2 and I remember it as being a fun game so it's cinematic flaws are totally forgiveable.

I expected Just Cause 3 to be number 1. I don't like first person shooters but this one is so much fun. Having a open world, a forgiving combat system, when dying you only have to restart from a close by checkpoint, and so much weapons and options. Drive any vehicle, car / motor / helicopter/ plane or tank. Use the hook and rocket thing on your back. And beautifull explosios and action.

I really thought he said seafood lol
Speaking of DooM, even the orginal game had guns that were more effective in certain areas.
i. e. Chainsaw against flying skulls
Chaingun for pumpkins,
Depending on the context of the fights and distance you may need to switch weapons up. Especially on higher difficulty.
So i guess, kinda, the new DooMs are an evolution of that

I didn’t hate Doom Eternal but I didn’t like the combat change as much as some. But one thing Falcon said pulled a nerve a bit Evolution is great which is fair but on the other side of that coin is it’s only great when it seemingly works which is made apparent by Falcon which he dunks on a game that is trying to change its formula I. e Evolution is great

How did Warframe not even get a mention. A game whos entire design is based around being the biggest badass in combat.
Combine that with now over 50 Frames (all with multtiple playstyles) and all the weapons.
Only DMC has ever gave me that same visceral andnsatisfied feeling in combat. ( will save never had a chance at Doom Eternal yet)

I love good power fantasy in games. like i love a challenge, especially early, but i love when by the end, you just feel like a god. Infamous, Prototype, Borderlands, even things like Far Cry and Souls games. it starts out tough (more in some than others ofc, but by the time you're geared, specced, and practiced, you feel like a god.

Great list, i agree for the most part: ) My personal favourite in terms of god like strategic overkill is red dead 2. When that wanted level goes high enough and youre good enough its so f’ing satisfying gun slinging through town. I’d recommend it post story; )

I appreciate that Ghost of Tsushima gave me multiple ways for breaking enemy guard. My first playthrough I kept changing stances and used heavy attacks, but when I got better for the next go around, I was using more quick projectiles, parrying, and evading around.

Replaying Ac: Syndicate, combat is pretty fun if not a bit old. I love playing as Evie Frye and just beating the crap out of the blighters and grapple hooking my way to freedom. Saints row IV always made me feel super powerful when maxed out.

I know the combat features weren't ever crazy, but Dynasty Warriors really makes you feel unstoppable, taking down hundreds upon hundreds of guys in a single battle. Sometimes even hitting a thousand or more Yeah, that's unstoppable right there.

Games that made me feel unstoppable are the second half of Control (when you can pick up enemies and throw them at other enemies) and The Last Of Us part 2. That game can be brutal, in the best of ways. Even more so with the new No Return roguelike

Ac 3 combat is the least basic combat in all the ac games so let’s not just throw that around lmao. It goes pretty deep and there’s a lot of hidden techniques they never give u tutorials for Ud have to look up to kno or do on accident

I don't understand how Control wasn't in the list. you start out struggling to shoot a few enemies and by the end of the game you have a parautilitarian arsenal that makes you a god of combat that's wrecking entire hordes of enemies.

When you get to end game shadow of Mordor/shadow of war, you feel like a god with how many abilities and skills you have, especially compared to having no abilities at the beginning. It should be a contender.
