In Far Cry 3 I remember doing some exploring looking for collectables fairly early on in my first play through. Entered a cave system to escape some Blood Dragons that had given chase. Following the cave, you had to enter the water to dive down and get out. Then, from out of nowhere a bloody Crocodile latched on to me! First time I had ever encountered one and damn near shit my pants as I wasn't expecting it lol! It was and still is my fave from the Far Cry franchise.

I played the Boomershooter Cultic recently and the floating dudes with the bags over their heads that use telekinesis to hurl things at you also can start choking you so long as they have line of sight, the screen shifting and sounds during that time are so sudden and jarring that its basically a jump scare the first time it happens to you especially if they see you first lol.

That bastard Whoo guy in Sekiro definitely got me. Was wondering where that sound was coming from, then just lost 2/3 of my health.
One that I would say got me first time through the game as well, that wasn't listed, was those bodies that scream at you in the Irithyll Dungeon in Dark Souls 3.
Definitely did not see it coming the first time it happened.

I wish Sega released Condemned 2 to pc and work on a 3rd game. I remember in the 1st game when you go the abandoned dept store, you would see mannequins come to life. After you beat them, you realize that it was psychos putting on mannequin parts on themselves. At that time you didn’t realize it. It horrified me the 1st time I saw it.

3 all from The Last of Us part 2: The work bench. The forest part (whistle. And the first time you SPOILER fighting Ellie as Abby. The first time I triggered a wired bomb, it scared the hell out of me. Then I remembered, yeah of course Ellie has those bomb traps. I've been using them this entire game. Such amazing detail.

Biggest jump scare for me were the Dogs when you open the front door of the Mansion in the first Resident Evil game. And the Licker jumping through the two way glass in Racoon City Police station in Resident Evil 2. Not many jump scares have scared me since then. And the rest dont stick out to me like those two.

Arkham Knight had a few little good ones. Manbat and then Joker on the roof. Amazing cause it's getting you when you're comfortable and think you know what you're doing. Even on replay, it still gets yah.
Subnautica does a few good scares. None are scripted but they can get you pretty good.

I used to prank my friend who came to my house and I let him try to play Outlast. I'm waiting for the exact moment where a man in a wheelchair does the jumpscare. me and other friends watched him play and were shocked. this is a prank that I did well, I miss that moment

Not really a Horror game but I had quite a jump scare in RDR2 when I was travelling through Swamps during nighttime on horseback, saw a body hanging from a Tree, shot the ropes and looted the body to see if it had any letters and was attacked by bunch of Nightfolks

I remember vividly when I first thought I slayed they guardian ape and went along my way trying too find an exit, when off screen he came back without my knowledge and was charging at me when I panned over too look what was going on I had a hear attack

Falcon I disagree. Number 11 the whole damn game was a jump scare. I was constantly walking through corridors, scanning for unbroken vents, half expecting Necro morphs to jump out. It was even worse when they didn’t. All that anxiety for nothing.

Red dead 2 the white cougar mission. The whole point of the mission is to find the cougar in the cave, but i kept using eagle eye never seeing it so right when i thought it wasnt in the cave for some reason, RAWRRR i get pounced on and eaten

For Arkham Knight, I think I'd give it to the 1st person Robin sequence in the Batcave/Theater. Even when you know the jumpscare is coming and even trying to trigger it without getting jumped, it still messes with you.

0: 16 Number 13 was TERRIFYING dude don’t even get me started on how many jumpscares from this game got me bro
RE7 was scary. I had watched some of the gameplay. But not enough to come across the jumpscares.

i had the single biggest jump scare of my life right after taking your advice Falcon and playing the demo for LUNA ABYSS. (no spoilers) really i actually shouted (some would say scream) out loud at one point!

Idk if you consider this a jump scare, but one that sticks in my mind is from FEAR when you go down the ladder and Alma appears out of absolutely nowhere. Scared the ABSOLUTE BA-JEEZUS out of me

Alan Wake would get me when we’d get the random high pitch scream noise then Barbra’s face for a second. Especially if you’re playing in the dark with decent headphones on.

Got some unsettled trauma from playing RE2 on N64 at the police station when that thing jumps out of the window. I don't think even games like Doom got me that bad at first

Everyone of these on these got me bar the Sakuro, Stalker, and PT scare, as I never played them! I hate cheap jump scares in movies and games! These shown have pay off! Cool vid!
