I'm laughing at PC gamers because they are still under the delusion that PCS should be first priority for new games as far as performance goes and no, a PC's original purpose is not gaming. They should prioritize game consoles performance first because that is its sole purpose. Sorry that you wasted thousands of dollars and then can't play a game like Dragon's Dogma 2 because the devs didn't focus on making the performance perfect for your expensive a graphics card first PC is an afterthought in gaming. PCS were created for office workers and to sort files and transfer data. You want to put all that money into slightly better graphics then you are going to have to wait until actual game consoles can run games first and then we'll worry about you.

Honestly I think they did really good with DD2, sure it's got some issues but it's an amazing experience, especially when you first hit the true endgame, mind bending bs that we loved in the first one, love the new npc interactions and the combats wonderful. My favorite part has to be the Wayfarer vocation, feels like what an arisen would use 100%, makes me feel like I'm actually the main character, being able to use every single weapon type at the click of a button is so satisfying, I mean even the graphics blow me away. I thought cyberpunk looked good but damn this game can really blow you away at times. or launch depending on the circumstances.
10/10 would get drop kicked by an ogre again

When purchasing consoles, I tend to wait for the second iteration/ mid-cycle refresh (PS4 being the exception.
Reason They're usually slimmer, quieter, have more storage, all the OS issues have been ironed out, they're cheaper, and there's usually a good catalogue of interesting games to choose from.
As such, the PS5 Pro would make sense for me, especially since stock of the OG PS5 has been so hard to come by. I imagine there are others like me who have been waiting for the refresh, so it will increase the install base of PS5. So I'm content to wait for the Pro.
Plus, my backlog is so huge that there's no reason to rush out and buy it Day One. I can afford to wait on it a bit.

That's why they can put it on the box and not get sued for false marketing or anything like that. - But just because it does technically output 8K of course doesn't mean it can run most games at 8K properly. - It's the same as how the PS4 was supposed to be 4K but doesn't really have the power for most games (though, again, it can output 4K and it's mostly useful for video and of course upscaling, as well as the PS3 that was marketed with 1080p or FullHD, while it struggled to run games at 720p, especially with all its weirdness.

If the PS5 Pro rumours are true, I'd be happy to wait until they come out. I'm currently mostly gaming on PC and Steam Deck, but every now and then I boot up my PS4. Only recently did I start to feel I'm missing out by playing on the previous gen; with games like Spiderman 2 and Horizon Forbidden West only coming on the current console. Luckily I have a HUGE backlog that I need to go through before I'm at those games, so this year's holiday season is soon enough for me or better yet: at the very least before GTAVI

I just wonder why people would buy a PS5 pro when they could get a killer graphics card for the same price. Its not like they would have to sell their PS5 and they would get a chance to try PC gaming.
I think the Steam Deck will eat any Microsoft console. If they stick with Windows that's not good (despite the ROG doing good) and if they try to release a gaming only OS it won't be nearly as good as SteamOS which has a huge head start. It would be all of the drawbacks of PC gaming and none of the benefits.

1, pc player here, built a custom (a beautiful beast honestly, but humble beginnings from the Atari as a kid. 2, the PSVita was ahead of its time and its only showing as time passes. 3, I've currently been playing a lot of nightingale personally. 3, I'm waiting on more news from Bioware about Dreadwolf, but theyre being so hush hush about it Dx Love yalls content, I use yall as my news source and trusted reviewers for games I'm looking into. The longer Rockstar keep a finished game like GTA6 away from consumers just to milk us with an 11 year old game. The more I am going to expect from it. A game this big with this much time and money put into it, needs to do things that no other game has ever done. The second there is a single thing wrong with it, I'll be getting a refund. The second it fails to do what they have advertised it to do, I'll be getting a refund. Two of us can play the unfair game.

the Series S single handedly ruined this entire generation of console gaming and held it back to the last generation. As soon as it was announced people were saying this would be the case because devs are way too lazy to actually do any work so they'll just make a game to the lowest common denominator. And even then they won't bother optimising it because they don't get paid to make a functional product at release.

What’s the point of a PS Pro. money, it’s about money Jake. Traditionally, we’re at the stage that Sony usually launch a pro version of the console that provides them with extra dosh. Thus, this gen, whether we need it or not, that’s not the point, Sony’s gonna release a pro. Because traditionally, many millions of people have gone out and rebought the console, so why should this gem be any different

Its not even 2025 yet and gta 6 is already possibly delay, i always knew and feel bad about it. Devs this day keeps on promising and delaying and when the game is finally out there's still always have a bunch of problems. Sometimes its better not to rely on some well known devs look at Helldivers 2, it suprises everybody came out of nowhere no promises no delays just a good game

Why do they keep saying that the PS5 is not fully utilized yet when it can't even run newly released games at 60 FPS in Quality mode It's not the consumers' fault that many of us just recently acquired a PS5. If only they didn't have an issue with the stock, then it would be just like what happened with the previous generation when it comes to releasing a Pro version.

I think this generation of consoles has had many setbacks, and it truly only it hit start about mid 2023. I think there is still so much more that this generation can bring to consoles and that they need a couple more years to shine. PC gaming has advantages over consoles and always has, but I still think gaming has a platform worth venturing on consoles.

As a PC gamer, I was actually pretty disappointed with the PS5 specs. For the price point it's undeniably good, but the gap between the PS5 and a high-end gaming PC felt bigger than previous generations, especially once the 40xx cards came out.
So I'd welcome a PS5 Pro if it meant that devs are building games that make more use of the power available.

To play devil's advocate here - you wouldn't have to negotiate with an AI to get it to return to the office because you've got hundreds of millions of dollars on the line. I'm just sayin'. Who wouldn't rather deal with a machine when dealing with people can suck so much Regardless of who is right or wrong. Dealing with people can just plain suck.

GTA6 is delaying because AI technology has already way surpassed what they thoughty they were aiming for when they started 10 years ago. They know theyre already behind and if they release now, the audience who are used to systems like chatgpt will be like wyf is this bs Lol theyre playing catch-up, lost in a world of their own digital creation.

I had a PS5 and Xbox Series X shortly after release but there were limited games for both so i sold and continued with my One X and PS4 Pro.
I tend to wait until mid gen refresh before upgrading so i personally am locking forward to a PS5 pro etc.
Oh and an Xbox hand-held. i definitely want to know more

Wanna know why no one finds sense in the PS5 Pro BECAUSE PRO CONSOLES DON'T MAKE SENSE.
The only reason we got the PS4 Pro and Xbox One X is because the original PS4 and Xbox One were extremely weak.
But we don't need that anymore, specially when just now are we getting actual, true next-gen only games
