The problem with the Steam and Epic issue is that while Epic do take less commission if you actually put a game on Epic for lower than it's being sold for on Steam then according to the Steam contract that's a breach and they can terminate your game on Steam for daring to undercut them with a game you own on another storefront. Steams contract is a joke and also it means whether we as consumers use Epic or Steam the price is, for now, always going to be the same regardless of the lesser commission on Epic.
If Epic did it to incentivize publishers then it worked but with Steams contract in place that increased revenue to the publisher does not translate into savings for the consumer and that sucks. One thing that has happened recently however is Epic have tried to address this by offering money back from your purchases so technically you are still saving money and Steam can't do a damn thing about it.

They didn't get hacked their hacks had a backdoor and it got activated. Epic Game Store sux compared to Steam. Steam allows players to play games using personalized preferences, peripherals, and has a huge community supporting it. Epic doesn't even have controller layouts. I buy games from both, but only when Epic has a way better price and I'm sure the developers have controller functionality at 100%. Steam is easier to use with controller, Steam has more support regarding settings, troubleshooting, and in-game discussions. It's more user friendly, and there's more reasons to spend time there other than just surfing, buying, or launching a game and that's all Epic is good for.

0: 20 A small clarification on ALGS hack.
The hack seems to be done via the game itself, not the anticheat.
The anticheat Apex uses is used by hundreds of other games, so the fact that never before we've seen something like this in any other game makes the possibility of anti cheat being used highly unlikely.
The hacker who claims to be responsible for the hack as well as having a history of annoying prominent Apex streamers for the past few months by seeming having more control over servers than any play should ever have said that everything he's done was done with the game itself.

keanu reeves is likable. man oozes charisma. will 'keep my wifes name out of your mouth' smith is not. he has always been an ass, and while he can turn on the charm on command, it takes effort and is a pretty thin facade. that is to say, i would probably enjoy hanging around with keanu for a day, while i would not be interested in spending any time at all with will smith, and if you put him into a game as a main, or even support, character then i will not be interested in spending any time with that game either.

That Undawn game is one of those mobile game that's been around for a minute and used those anime girl sniping ads and that she's in trouble and you need to save her, like you get them between your checking your friends Snaps or between reels on Insta. Games that typically flop and make news about flopping get a cult following that denies all the flaws in the game for a couple of months. But it's special to them because no one else plays it. Super specific, but I've seen it many a time before.

With the WB and RT news, I think it's clear that the leadership at WB will not be improving. Funhaus ending shouldn't have happened. The rest of RT I don't really know because I only watched Funhaus/Inside Gaming. All the movies cancelled and made are tanking those fools.
Only answer is fire all the upper management. That's a Corp standard btw. It's the same in every industry right now and before. That's why sucks. Seriously.

What you didn't notice the epileptic seizure flashing red dot EA put INSIDE OF COMPUTER VERSION of sims4 in a LARGE shopping cart icon Part of EA app. You know the app which asks you to SHOP so why not remind you yet again in the game even though you were reminded to buy buy buy just logging into the game. EA giving seizures to all it's loyal customers. Thx EA for winning the dckhead award yet again.

Not just Epic but a lot of other companies as well, called out Steam for it's %30 cut back then. iirc it happened after Epic Store came out with a %12 cut. After that Valve sent an email to it's users explaining how much it cost them to run Steam Store and how they needed that %30. Epic Games is shitting on steam an all but they still haven't made any profit from the store.

Man, Helldivers 2 is definitely a double-edged sword. The fact that a new games-as-a-service is doing so well is gonna make all these other publishers point and say, See people like games-as-a-service! Then they'll double down on shitty cookie-cutter garbage live service games because they don't understand that it's the gameplay that props these games up, not the mtxs.

You know what I thought was weird That a AAA gaming consultant company was angry that someone exposed which games they had consulted on. As a consultant myself, albeit not in gaming, I WANT EVERYONE TO KNOW who I have worked with and what I have worked on. I can’t imagine a scenario where it would bother me for people to know, unless I was doing something nefarious.

GAAS games suck is easy to keep saying, but it is objectively untrue when Helldivers, Fortnite, Warzone, GTAV and Apex (just a few non-MMO examples) have huge, long term playerbases, financial stability and overall successes. Sometimes a further qualification for implementation is added like you did here, but it always comes later almost as a secondary point.

Why do you say you don’t know why EA would lay off a whole team, just after hiring them We ALL KNOW why that is: They’re an INVESTMENT GROUP dressed up to look like a, games publisher. When shareholders look like they won’t get their CONTRACTUALLY GUARANTEED bonuses, the company is forced to find savings. Like when you owe money to the mafia.

thats wild why are you spreading misinformation about the apex hack pirate software talked to hal and they figured out there was no rootkit used and there was no issue with EAC you talked about the first half of the issue and left off the conclusion to everything that happened lol kinda lazy reporting.

Every time tencent loses money its good for the planet. If Tencent was bankrupt it would be good for the planet. If western government put their big boy pants on and banned tencent from buying or investing in any western company, thatd be good for the planet. Too bad we live on the worst timeline.

I knew about I am legend game but I thought is still in development
N1NT3ND0 start been jerks
why they didn't loose millions from streamers that play TOTK, P0K3M0N S&V and legends, Kirby, Mario etc they lost more from streamers if you count the full plays that had billion views

Triple A games and the businesses behind them are kind of a joke TBH. Every now and then we get a banger, but these companies just don’t seem to get it. If they bail and go mobile I for one won’t be too upset. Fewer games from truly passionate companies sounds like a better world IMHO.

Wow literally a zombie game with Will Smith in it that would’ve been totally awesome except for Will Smith effing up at the Oscars he definitely flushed his career down the toilet he had a pretty good movies back in his heyday is that he made but he ended up effing of his career

Epic complaining about Steam is so absurd that makes me laugh. Steam is not the one who only has users because of free games. Nobody would use their garbage Launcher otherwise.
Also, Steam is not the one who pays for developers to release their games only on Epic Store.

1 million copies of tear of the kingdom pirated= $60, 000, 000 in lost revenue. That's money that could have been paid to developers to make the next game even better, or maybe next time everyone pirates it and they do nothing then go bankrupt. You sound like a dumb child.

Nintendo is full of it. Even with the downloads, number of downloads missed sales. Most of those people bought it, and the ones who didn't most likely wouldn't have bought it anyway. They just took down a great emulator rather than hunt down the leaker.
