As with many early access games, I hope Manor Lords launchs with far more things than what's available by those playing the beta. It happened to me with Darktide, in which the beta had less mission types, and lacked (very important to me at that moment) good optimization for PC, and video settings that could go to low detail levels. Once it launched, it had far more things to do, and more importantly, allowed a player with a less-powerful rig to downgrade the details and still run like it should. And mind you, a horde-shooter does not go easy on any machine, only thing to do is get better equipment.

ive played this game on the early beta 2 years ago and i had a great time with it. and im very critical, if the game sucked i would've told you so. but this game is really good and i left the beta wanting more time to play. and this is saying something coming from me belive it or not. definetly worth it. tho keep in mind this game is not what most of yall think it is. its a city builder with some combat. some combat
its early access Not a FINISHED product and the creator is very kind and hearing open minded person so being polite and giving constructive feedback HELPS FIX THINGS AND CHANGE SOME!

Ok, this dev might be a genius in programming and creating assets, but he is also lazy, hence the long time he took to finally release this. Also he might be too socially awkward, shy, dumb or just a subordinate instead of a leader to get support for his project. Maybe it's about funds as well. I want this to fail because I think he will never be able to put out patches and additional content in a time frame I find acceptable. On the other hand the game looks good and if I spend money on it he will be able to improve his team.

As a developer, can yall stop comparing games like crazy. To start off you said This is basically a game thats a little like a lotta games. You just snatch appeal away talking like that and first impressions are important. Starting to think keeping games underwraps entirely until they’re done is the best way to move now. Yall make even positive feedback sound negative sometimes.

. Good Intel. Thanks. may wait for an update or three before pulling the trigger. or I'll buy it and park it to help out the Dev on the front end as he seems to be all-in on making the game complete and (very) worthwhile. and yeah (raising hand) I have been following this game and have it wish-listed. lol. I Love me some good city-builders.

I still go back and play Banished probably once a year if not more, and if this becomes a modern replacement for it, I'm all for it. Seems like its not quite ready for that so I may hold off until there is more content added. If it looks good enough though, that might be tough. Definitely now on my radar either way.

Sooo. It's like if Anno and Civilization had a baby Gotcha.
Or is it more like Tropico and Risk got drunk one night and Risk continued to drink while pregant and now we have a game that's on the spectrum and won't look at anyone while it takes itself way too seriously Like. Ben Affleck from The Accountant.

I find it strange that we expect billion dollar gaming companies to monetize their games and indie/single developers to not monetize. This guy most likely would benefit from monetizing the game but then everyone would hate his game even though it would give him money to make a better game. Food 4 thought.

0: 21 is all i needed, will wait for full release, ive been burned by too many devs abusing early access by either canceling the game before release, out right not even making the game at all, and not fixing bugs reported by their early access customer. Ill be back once its done and check it out.

One thing that wasn't mentioned in the video was the importance of historical accuracy. There is a historian who playing the beta and kept being blown away by the achetechtural realizm. Personally I've been super excited about this since I first heard of it and really enjoyed the beta.

the guy making this game should look up the existing wealth of references about Old Traditional Woodworking Styles, and their use of wedges/patterns/methods.
can't imagine the the shapes of such dwellings & physics of such cross carpentry through the ages being fused together.

The dev statement that came out that basically said this isn't going to be Total War, or Crusader Kings, but Banished with some combat on the side, that made me happy. That's all I want. A modern successor to Banished. What a stellar city builder that was. And still is.

Looks pretty great but I've been burned by EA games, especially games that start on KS or whatnot and then release steam EA only to quickly become abandoned once the dev gets enough money. I'll prob hold off awhile but it looks really good for new EA and I'll prob wishlist.

Made by one guy is misleading. The developer outsourced a lot so he did not do all the coding. It is more like one guy managed other teams to virtualize his creation. So please don't think one guy coded this whole game. With that said he has done a good job IMO

fcking unreal engine and this fcking directx12 requirement. it has nothing to do with graphical inprovements it has to do with forcing people to keep bying new graphic cards even tho the old once could have run it without problems.

It's insane to think that all of this was made by (mostly) 1 personm. Yes it took a couple years, but that is the type of game you simply need to support.
1 very skilled person who puts all of their passion in this 1 dream project.

Manor Lords is a City Builder with strategy game elements, not the other way around, lol. So many people have the wrong idea of what this is and are gonna be upset that their imaginary version of the game isn't real.

id be very interested to see additional civilisations or themes I guess in forms of mods or official stuff. Think it's not a bad idea tbh. I think this game could be a platform for medieval city builders imo

Whats sad is that the dev said mods are unlikely because apparently it would be really hard to modify anything. If someone made a mod making the combat in this game like Bannerlord it would be the perfect game
