10 Holy SH T In-Game Moments in Recent Video Games dsher503: Bioshock would you kindly is in my top three and was such a crazy twist. The two that really made me awestruck though were riding into Mexico with the music playing in Red Dead Redemption and in that same vein, when the map doubled in size in Mercenaries Playground of Destruction on PS2. I still remember both of those, how I was so engrossed in the game worlds and thought nothing could get better, only to then realize I hadn't even scratched the surface and there was an entire new area to explore. Such good memories! Honorable mention to the first time you encounter Scarecrow in Arkham Asylum.

The last holy shit moment I had was when I first started playing The Last Of Us Remastered. I'm a father of one, and here that game got me all attached to Joel's daughter and. and. that game was in the dog house for 3 months after that horseshit! Eventually did finish the game but not before it went flying across the living room. It's a big part of why I haven't bought the sequel because I know they did it again! I read spoilers and. Yeah.

The last of us Part II has nothing on A Plague Tale Requiem. Tbh aside from the impressive visuals that are just sweet candy to my eyes, the game took me into a roller coaster of emotions that none of all other games could ever do. I'm not a guy that feels sadness easy, Joel is dead pffft whatever, but this game opened the gate of emotions that was blocked in me. I almost shed a tear during that final chapter.

I know Gameranx has several narators; Falcon is my favorite. He's just so relaxed. almost sounds like stream of thought commentary. Yeah, I know he's got to work from a script, maybe just an outline so he's sure to hit the important points. Yet, relaxed enough as if you're sitting next to him, while he plays, and he's just saying aloud what he' thinking.

I remember when Destiny ws first being announce and they were showing it off saying, hey you see those mountains/building over there, you can actually go there. yeah no you can't.
In walks Elden ring, oh you see those building in the faer distance you can actually, and i mean actually go there.

Nah the batman one in Gotham knights wasn't a shock to me at all.
I knew he would be revived and I knew it would be the lazurus pita show else would it happen? And having read the comica I knew he wouldn't be whole.
What shocked me was Warner bros took the blatantly obvious route against.

Idk the only real Holy Shit moment for me in Gotham Knights was after Patrol Night where you clear out the first Owl Nest when I realized
Holy Shit this is the extent of the gameplay?
Oh wait the second one was them wanting 25 for 4 Costumes and some Cycle Paints as their first DLC

I'll also add the whole Crater section in GOW Ragnarok. Every time I thought I was close to finishing it, it kept opening up more sections, and each section more jaw dropping than the last. It was an entire worth of game content just hidden away behind a seemingly ordinary side quest.

Oh god the Atreus parts was trash. I always stopped playing this game for days once i was forced to play as him. I could not handle how bad this filler was. I was so happy once he left and i could play and enjoy the game without fear of switching. But i had not much to do at the end.

I don't think i've seen a game get so much universal praise and excitement from the world in general in many years, if not my life. Elden Ring was as close to a masterpiece as you can get. I only have ever gotten 2 platinum trophies on my PS, Elden Ring is one of them.

Kinda saw the Plague Tale Requiem ending coming. well not to that extent but let's face it what option was there? The bit after the credits is interesting. seems to suggest a sequel of sorts. But I never tire of saying this. it's a great game. easily makes my top 5.

for Signalis, the ''fake ending'' whatever button you click, even quit, doesnt actually quit the game. I was very confused the first time because i clicked quit and it booted me in again, but thing have changed. I was amazed by how much more content there was after.

I can't stand that you have to play his son. I want to play as the god of war obviously. I thought it would be short lived but it's an incredible amount of time you play as him. I have since dropped the game and do not plan to finish just like the last of us 2.

Xenoblade chronicles 3, the jail and execution scene. Going in I was expecting the classic resistance breaks the heroes free from jail scene but as the seconds went by I was less certain of them being rescued, and especially getting out with all party members

The Elden Ring elevator was the biggest trip for me because I was also running from a giant bear lol my heart was pounding and I thought of the elevator as a safe haven, the view was even more astounding because of the break it gave me lol
