i wouldn't have put gta 6 on this it doesn't really look all that realistic, it looks better than gta 5 but not by a lot and though gta 5 was also a game where when it came out people were saying it had good graphics, looking back at it we can only wonder what those people were smoking because gta 5 either never actually looked good or has really not aged well because gta 5's graphics are kinda bad in places, the cars are pretty much the only thing that still looks good

None of these games would be as photorealistic as they look without ray tracing. Especially the ray traced global illumination gives them such natural bounce lighting. RT reflections, ambient occlusion and shadows are also super important, but RTGI is a game changer. Especially if a game is path traced, you immediately notice a great level of cohesiveness of visuals. Every object is grounded, shaded, has perspective correct shadows, reflections. Nothing floats in mid-air.

I am not going base my expectations of GTA6 on the trailer.
Remember when they did the same thing with GTA5, and it turned out what we saw in the trailer was mostly just from the opening cinematic
I'm not saying the game will be bad, I will definitely be playing it myself, but just don't expect everything to look exactly like the trailer.

You hit the nail on the head. It comes down to if the game is fun or not, which can be somewhat subjective. If the game isn't good the graphics are all it has. It'll wind up on a Gameranx video for bad games with good graphics. Here's hoping these are good games.

unreal engine is kinda meh.
All shine but if stuff gets out of range it becomes a slideshow at 1fps, removing the immersion i. m. o.
Rather have a low detailed 3d model at full speed animation then the choppy one that seems to become the norm now.

Get a supernatural game but it's not related to the show at all that sucks completely lost my interest. Would be pretty cool to have a co op campaign where you play as Sam and Dean or just some hunters in general

our games are being ruined because people place more value in graphics then actual gameplay, no one wants to play a game that looks like a movie if it isn’t fun, graphics is just a novelty

I literally do. not. care. at this point. I want games in a finished state, with decent performance on midrange hardware, with good and fun gameplay. If I want a movie, I can watch a movie.

I do enjoy games that go for realism but I find myself more so returning to the ones that are more stylized or use the realism for more fantastical applications like Alan Wake 2.

I want to be excited for GTA VI but the lack of DLCs in recent games is putting me off.
I don't want an online experience with GTA, I'm in it for the story, humour and characters

It seems like all of Kojima's team has always pushed the boundary for video game graphics, starting from MGS2 to Now, his team have perfected the mix between realism and artstyle.

A good art style will always beat realistic graphics in my opinion. It’s just more interesting and memorable (Borderlands, Fallout, old cod, battlefront 1, Arkham knight, etc)

I'm hoping Stalker 2 lives up to it's name. People love to mod the hell out of Stalker 1 so if the sequel isn't great, long time fans will probably go back to doing that

12: 20 This game isn't gorgeous at all. The frame-rate is super choppy, and it looks very bland or old. The lighting/shadows look great, but that's about it.
