So RE 9 is yet another sequel to an IP that has little to do with Resident evil. Much like Final Fantasy the Resident Evil games have been going though an identity crisis. With every game after code veronica being either absolutely nothing like the original games (looking at you 5, 7 & 8) or being a piss poor, half assed attempt at nostalgia bait. (looking at you RE6) and in case you're wondering what i think about 4 i think they held a figurative gun to Shinji Mikami's head & made him make that which is why it's the start of the rot of the series. It's the Final Fantasy 7 of the resident evil series. It's not a bad game but the start of the fall. It's also one of the likely reason Shinji Mikami left capcom like his ass was on fire.
At this point I have given up any hope that capcom will make a true Resident Evil game. Then again since Shinji Mikami left there really hasn't been any hope of that happening anyway aside from remakes which given how botched 3 came out shows me Capcom getting those right are the same as a coin flip.

I shouldn't have to point this out because I absolutely cannot understand why people want all games to be long as if they have all the time in the world, but the Last of Us 1, one of the best games ever made was 12 hours long, and when it was released it was NOT considered short. Every single Halo/Gears (besides Infinite) was under 12 hours long, as were all the Bioshock games, and Uncharted games besides 4, I mean the list goes on and on and on. 12 hours is PERFECT for a third person shooter

Jake, Warner Bros have announced Suicide Squad Season 2. No idea what they are thinking, game is 70% off during Steam Summer sale and still barely gets 500 peak players and they appear to be going to deliver the promised 4 seasons after writing off $200M.

I really hope the Leon/Jill rumors are real, they're my favorite two and both overdue to appear in a new mainline entry. I hope it takes a more horror focused approach to the 3rd person formula like RE 2, and the story/character writing in RE 4 Remake. Whatever it ends up being though, I'm excited for it. Since RE 7, Resident Evil has been on a roll. Fingers crossed they keep it up.

Oh those qol features are only with gta plus You mean the thing that is on consoles only So Pc players just done get it at all I swear rockstar just does not care about pc anymore. Honestly they should remove it from pc and not release 6 onto pc either. They clearly dont want anything to do with it. Just be the trash company you wanna be ffs. Dunno what their problem is.

Inhave the platinum for all the new re games and i played code veronica growing up. Well ive been wanting 7 and 8 and its on sale on the ps store as a double package of the gold versions which have all the dlc and its only 30 bucks the lowest ive ever seen it so i picked it up and im loving it.

As long as Leon Overrated Kennedy isn't the main character I'm all for RE9.
Edit: Nobody pay for the GTA shit. The last 4 months I haven't even been given my FREE monthly money. I also got friends who haven't got there's, but got it on months I didn't get mine.

Re 7 was a return to form, then Re8 was like screw it let’s go for more action again. I hope Re9 is challenging and so scary that sometimes I won’t want to play it. Same way I felt about the nights of dying light 1.

Maybe I’m old fashioned, but I was excited for Crazy Taxi until I heard live service multiplayer. Yeah. Nah. (And hey, I already have Crazy Taxi Uber/Lyft in real life - every ride I’ve had lately has been terrifying)

I haven't played all of them but every time I try a Res Evil game I get bored really quickly. They just don't have the pace to keep me interested which is as a shame as they keep spitting the damn things out

Apparently RE 9 is gonna be open world.
I would just hope for a prequel in an open world racoon city.
They dropped the ball with the RE3 remake we barely even get to explore the city in that game.

They’re making changes to Space Marine 2 to keep up with all the DEI changes in the lore. Must be a daily thing at this point. They don’t want fans to know how much they changed.
