Lol OK yeah no. They did NOT bring the game up to par w Forbidden West. There is still a noticeable gap between the two.
They did a good job for a $10 upgrade, but I feel it could have been better & probably would have been if Guerilla themselves had handled it. The new mocap for instance still looks kind of robotic & jerky. They could have done better with that in particular.
Also, only Meridian got a change as far as the amount of NPC's go, which is kind of a shame. As is, the Remaster kind of sits in between the two games imo in regards to graphic quality & Mocap.
It sort of sounds like you rushed thru making this video & don't really know what you're talking about to be honest.
Also noticed that u didn't even turn on the no pickup animations option. You must have really rushed to get this made. Understandable I guess.

It's entirely possible that I am wrong, but this feels like the start of a trend. Games like resident evil and Silent Hill got thier remakes, and performed incredibly well in sales. That's because there's a reason. People wanted those games remastered and had been waiting for years on it. Then big publishers see that and want a slice of the pie, so they tell thier dev teams to push out remasters which nobody really asked for, without thought because all they see is profits. We've seen similar stuff like this in the past, and I fully expect this to evolve into some kind of trend. Again, maybe I'm COMPLETELY off the mark with this, but then again, maybe I'm not.

The only thing remastered about the game was the jawline.
When games don't sell; they resort to remasters.
I mean seriously how many versions of tlou and tlou2 are out there now How many versions of horizon will u get considering Sony has had some serious flops this year
Remember when bioware remastered mass effect 1, 2 and 3 It was right after the failure of Andromeda and anthem.
Don't not buy remasters. It's the same damn thing with a facelift.
Capcom is probably the only company that can pull it off because their remasters are turned into a whole other game. The ps5 upgrades were free btw.

Know what, I’m gonna say fair play.
Obviously it’s not something we needed or asked for. But for someone who hasn’t played it, it’s a beautiful game now even more beautiful, for probably similar amount of money you’d pay for a new game anyway.
And if you did play it and thinking about revisiting, or you buy game 2nd hand, 10$ is really not that much for quite a nice update by the looks of it. They’ve put in some work, actually did a decent job (we all still remember GTA trilogy, don’t we) and $10 is probably fair for some optimisation & life improvement updates.

It may seem like an easy decision to a gaming professional running on a high-spec machine, but I think you should talk more about the downside that the minimum specs have massively increased - especially RAM from 8GB to 16GB - which will impact lots of gamers and make it inaccessible to many on a lower budget, and maybe run less well on PCs with more marginal hardware. Is that really worth it for what is really a fairly minor tweak to the look and QoL, even before you have to pay $10 (or $60) for it

I bailed out of this game halfway through as gameplay started to feel clunky, picking stuff up from the ground felt tedious, and the world felt too big which required more tedious traveling in between. Loved certain fights, but not sure if it was aiming w/ a controller that felt too clunky because of my skill. Gave it some thoughts to try to get back into it- maybe need to get immersed into the story. One of the most beautiful game, that's for sure but think it lacks some QoL.

I do actually think the faces in the OG were kinda weird and you felt the uncanny valley while in Forbidden West I was pleasantly surprised on how good the facial animation was that a lot of the times characters didn't need to say anything as you can see on their faces what they were feeling; I do think it's an unnecessary remaster but I bought the complete edition in PS4 for $10 and got like 80 hours out of it so paying another $10 for 80 more hours sounds good to me

Actually yes, in the original, the character's faces and animations were definitely an issue for me. Those qualities made sure I was never immersed. Those qualities took me out of the experience, and made the game boring quicker than any game I had ever played up to that point, if I'm honest. Took months for me to beat, and at that, it was a chore. The game(and now, series, I guess) screams forced importance, the gameplay is so bland.

Good remaster Its terrible put the original next to it and you wil see the joke it is if you want your game to look matural and more realistic dont updrage as al the upgrade does is change color and over saturate dont make the mistake of ruining your copy by upgrading it. Beside al this video talks about is basicly not true i made the mistake of uogtading its just not there at al beside color change

Was hoping Frozen Wilds would be included. I absolutely love the Horizon series - well, the LEGO game bounced right off me, but glad others are enjoying it. Even though I preferred the gameplay in Forbidden West, Zero Dawn blew my mind. And Ashly Burch does heroes work in both games. Will definitely do a NG and go back to the Frozen Wilds. Love the Banuk.

Discovering what happened to the world through side missions and a deeper understanding of the relationships between those involved really made me wanna explore more in the first one. Petition for the studio to apply this level of lore to the Killzone franchise. Shadow fall had something going for it

Just give us Bloodborne already! It’s the perfect time to do it with how successful Elden Ring was.
I wasn’t even aware of fromsoft until Elden Ring dropped and I know so many others have the exact same experience!
I get it this is an easy cash grab, but give the players what they want!

Remember, in the original pc port of Zero Dawn, the eye and face animations were tied to the framerate and would bug out if the framerate was over 30 fps. This doesn't seem to be an issue now with this remaster. I honestly couldn't play the OG port because of it. Now I can enjoy the game.

All the effort spent on character models and lighting - am I the only person who thinks that the original, non-remastered character models and lighting look better Several of the scenes in this review look cartoonish and over-saturated, they have lost the original artist intent.

and now a 2nd video about the botched pc version with psn requirement and delisting of the og hzd and the fact that the remaster has about the same minimum system requirements as the og hzd's max requirements.
still playing on a 5 yearsold pc with a gtx1660ti, no 10 update for me

reply

Maybe I’m wrong, but was there always a blue whoosh from your spear at 5: 10 I suppose that could be something they added in the remaster. I just finished a NG run a few months ago, so the timing of this release kinda sucks, I’m sure I’ll play it again at some point though
reply

3: 40 yes they were Jake, yes they were, I got so immersive with the open world and story cutscenes, and when I approached an NPC that immersion was gone, this is the reason the paid the 10 difference, finally will enjoy to understand more about HZD, as I did with HFW

I understand you can transfer your save data to the ps5 version, but can you start with the save data only, or is it gonna transfer your trophies over as well
I like to play and earn the trophies again with the save data and earn the trophies separately.

Hello everyone, is there a way to quickly swap your bow type in the field I understand that L1 brings up the wheel to change ammo type, but I don't see an option for bow switch. Sorry for the essay. Just need some help. Thanks!
