The Velvet Vampire, Nadja, The Lost Boys, Near Dark, Dracula (the original, Bram Stoker's Dracula (Francis Ford Coppela, Habit, 30 Days of Night and 'Salem's Lot (the original mini-series) are some of my favorites.
As for writings, Richard Matheson's I Am Legend (no relation to the terrible adaptation with Will Smith, the loose adaptation of The Omega Man and the closest but still not close enough The Last Man on Earth) and Bram Stoker's Dracula are both the best.
